I biked downtown this afternoon for a trip to the public library. Upon arrival I discovered that every space in the bike racks surrounding the library were taken by Veo scooters. Attempting to move a scooter to park my bike was extremely difficult, as the scooter wheels immediately locked up, and scooters are simply to heavy to lift and move.
Allowing a private scooter company to completely monopolize all available bike parking around the public library is not acceptable. Why is this allowed? Could the rules around scooters in the city be reviewed and this specific issue addressed?
To clarify, I don't believe users had parked the scooters here. It seems as if they were deployed and staged in these spots.
Thank you.

White City pickup w/seal and employee on riding mower with blade tipped up on side were working in the area trimming and cutting bushes late this am. Bushes shouldn't be trimmed this way w/mower because of flying debris. Citizen says they whacked up the pine tree in her yard. Also, they left their debris behind and didn't clean it up. If her tree was posing a problem she would have taken care of it -- it shouldn't have been whacked up like this. Someone should have notified her.

Traveling south towards this intersection, as if you're traveling on Adam towards 2nd/bloomfield, this light is failing to detect cars and switch. This is the 3rd time I've waited 6+ minutes and having to then get out of my car, hit the pedestrian traffic signal, just to get the light to sometimes change.

It would be cool if our area didn’t lose power as much. But with as much as the traffic lights here go out you’d think y’all could get a battery or somethin

Thank you Jeff & Cody for a job well done repairing/patching the area where the street meets our driveway! This is my first time using UReport. I did not expect such a quick response to the UReport I submitted Friday evening. Your courteous & polite personalities represent the City of Bloomington well! I very much appreciate all you do! Thanks again! Lori Brenner

This morning, my large recycling bin had been shoved through my lawn with such force that it left a 15" gouge. I can't imagine this was done by a person pushing the bin. I believe it was caused by the lifting arm of the truck being used to push the bin across the sidewalk. I witnessed the arm being used in this way a few weeks ago when the same bin was pushed with such force that its wheels snapped off and had to be repaired by the sanitation department. I would like someone to investigate the way the truck arms are being used and train the sanitation crews to avoid damaging property. I would also like someone to patch my lawn.

Today I was driving on Walnut Street headed south around 11:30am. A white City pickup truck was stopped in the road with its hazard lights flashing. The City employee was picking up bags of trash and other junk that some careless person had lost on the road, creating a hazard for traffic and cyclists.
This City employee should be thanked or rewarded in some way for going above and beyond. I don't know if he was sent there to get this trash. To me, it looked like he was driving along and saw it and decided to stop and do something about it. He was in a white Ford Super Duty pickup with a lift gate on the back. I think it was truck # 936. This was 11:30am on Saturday, June 4, 2022, on Walnut heading south in the area of about W. Allen Street or so. Please, find this City employee and give him a high five, some extra time off, or whatever you can do to thank him for doing a great job.
