Re case #205719 the full inquiry was not addressed. This is still being advertised as an event venue. This is ongoing in a neighborhood not zoned for this. How is this particular property and individual allowed to do this? Will all residents in any zoning district then be allowed to operate any business they would like despite zoning regulations?

Unhoused left broken wagon in the alley/row. Does a homeowner or neighbor that uses this alley have to pay the fee for this to get thrown away?

Thank you for the awesome community fireworks display downtown! It brought neighbors out onto our porches and sidewalks to witness the display over our Near Westside neighborhood. I love the idea of continuing the fireworks display downtown in future years. It makes it so much more of a community event instead of something that happens on the outskirts of town. Chapeau to those who came up with the idea.

Can the city conduct a review of the historic preservation board? There is little to no predictability, and I'm confused what purposes the city has for the group. Who do they represent? They don't seem to favor property owners or take cost into consideration but they also don't seem to favor the public by thinking what would the public want to save. And they don't favor the neighbors (and shouldn't because it shouldn't be just about making folks rich enough to own historic homes richer) as they don't listen to them either? Who do they listen to? And what are they saving for who? There should definitely be protection, I'd just like to know better what their goals are. I don't know if the group functions as intended.

Hello, I live two doors down from the Banneker center. I have a request that the city, park the van either on the side street next to the center or in front of the center...I realize this is city parking and they have a right to park there. The staff park the van in front of my house and leave it there all weekend and they usually park the van directly in front of mine and my neighbor's house, while they have plenty of room on the west side of the building to park. Or possibly at the girls Club. They usually leave the van there all weekend . They usually park at at least 3 feet from the end of the yellow line. We can normally park three cars there. This effectively cuts off any accessible parking in front of my house and my neighbor's house. I don't mind the extra parking for the kids activities all during the week but this is the staff van. I know this is perfectly legal but on in the interest of good neighborhood relations I am making this request. thank you, Barbara Metz 1005 west 7th [email protected]
