Wanting to make you aware of an incident involving my daughter, yesterday afternoon. We live a fair distance away, in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. She was contacted by a company representative of the Xlibris Self Publishing Company. The phone number that called her was 317-489-3887. (http://www.xlibris.com/) I googled this number as I was immediately suspicious and found they are not operating entirely above board. Soliciting business from minors without parental authorization, discussing trips to Europe and Asia, photo shoots for book covers....tends to ring in all shades of child luring. Discussing money and payment matters with children. I have called them and requested they remove my daughters number from their records (I was informed they didn't have it, however I do not believe them). I also informed them that if she receives any additional calls from their organization, I would be contacting the police in their city. I've decided to do this anyway because a little research on the internet indicates to me this is a regular occurrence. Very concerning. I have not determined yet how my daughter's phone number was provided to them, though my assumption is that it was through purely an innocent act of a child who knew no better.....even though she's well educated on the pitfalls of the internet. Perhaps the excitement of the possibilities overruled her common sense. Regardless, I felt it necessary to report it to someone in the area. Not much I can do from 12 hours away. There is a Mazda Tribute, that has been parked across the street from my residence since I moved in on August 8th. The vehicle has not moved since I have been moved in, It has flat tires, and looks to be broken. I would like the vehicle to be moved off of the street, as it makes backing out difficult. The vehicle is parked across the street from 1306 W 6th st, Bloomington, IN.

Parking Meter at the NE corner of Walnut and Kirkwood is not operating correctly. On 10/25, around 3:00 pm, additional time does not register when I added more coins. I put in 25 cents past an hour and the time did not change. Later, around 4:00 pm, I returned and added another 25 cents, and still the additional time did not register.

Parking Meter not working. Meter number 7671, in front of Chicos on M Walnut, last spot before the intersection with Kurkwood is not working. I put 2 quarters in and it did not register any time whatsoever. I'm only here for a half hour guitar lesson, so I am not about to try my debit card, but I don't want to be ticketed.

Duke replaced the pole in front of our house (1900 E, Hunter Ave.) last year by cutting the old pole in half and installing a new pole with their wires on the top of the new one. They left the old pole, which was falling over, tied to the new pole with ropes. Cable and telephone are still connected to the old pole. It is still falling over, and if the ropes break it may come down. Who do I contact to remedy this situation? Thanks, Glenn Gero

Our street has no street sign (or stop sign). I live in Winslow Crossing and we don't have a sign at the intersection of Henderson & S Walnut St Pike (nor do we have a stop sign leaving our neighborhood) and it has resulted in a lot of confusion in the slightly more than year I have lived here since I purchased 2851 S Walnut Street Pike. Included are friends/family being unable to locate the address (we have no neighborhood sign and my HOA when I contacted them is in no hurry to get one), when I called for a non-emergency police issue he couldn't find the neighborhood, packages have nearly been sent back or just plain delivered to the wrong address because my address "doesn't exist" (because they can't find it). So I'm wondering what it would take to get a street name sign and hopefully also a stop sign, installed at the main intersection to help with the confusion. Please let me know if there's anything I can do about this because it's becoming quite frustrating! Thank you, Denise J. Humphries
