Following up regarding the closing of ticket 1882595. The Animal Control Officer indicated that the fence was, by Zoning standards, too close to the sidewalk. (I.e., not that it wasn't tall enough.)
I am a neighbor of this address. Twice in the past year, the two dogs who live at this property have been in the street and charged me and my dog. On another occasion, one of the dogs charged the property's fence and attempted to bite me by reaching *over* the fence. I have reported two of these instances to Animal Control. The last time (when the dog attempt to bite over the fence), the Animal Control officer told me that he had explained to the owners that their fence violates zoning by being too close to the sidewalk, and that the owners had expressed an intention to remove the fence in the front and keep the dogs in the back. However, I have heard, "We keep the dogs in the back" multiple times, when that is not true. The Animal Control Officer suggested that I could contact the city's zoning office, to have the fencing issue in the front yard addressed. I cannot find a way to contact Zoning specifically, so I am submitting the request here. FWIW, other people have had encounters with these dogs, though I don't know if they have reported it. What up I’m interested in planting some thing in the area between the sidewalk in the street. Who do I talk to about this?
This weekend we WILL be trimming the trees around the sidewalk inside our cul-de-sac. However, we along with all of our neighbors are not happy with the "no mow" grass that is on Sare Road outside of our property. Matt Smethurst is who told us it was "no mow" and would stay lower than 8" in height. It did not stay short and is now hard to see around and looks awful. I tried to email back to Matt off of our original communication and his email bounced back as not active. Could someone please help with this?
Is there a reason why Michael Stewart is not responding to all the blocked sidewalk complaints? I’ve reported a few months back and I’m getting no response. Look at all the blocked sidewalk complaints and most are all open with. I comments. If he is unable to do this, can someone else take it over? Unacceptable.
Please remove the campaign yard sign which is improperly placed at this location, specifically between the sidewalk and the street in the public right of way.
Is there any talks among city staff about this block on 4th street? Sidewalk on the south side has many spots of being un level due to tree roots while also missing bricks. The road really needs to be paved and have parking line painted in road so cars aren’t double parking at meters. Curbs need to be painted. Do I need to continue? Please go check for yourself and see what I mean. Bloomington starting to become a small version of Indy. Sincerely, IU student.
