Kim Evans would like to know why the mowers have not been mowing the northern slope of Park Ridge East Park. It is becoming overgrown in areas we were previously able to walk.

It is very nice, well maintained, and much cleaner under the Park and Rec than as Sportsplex. The equipment is great and each time I have had a questions, I found the staff to be friendly and helpful. That being said, I want to tell you about 11/6/10. My husband went to workout and there was a basketball league or tournament going on late in the afternoon. A group of men were standing directly in front of the doors and had absolutely no consideration about smoking there. I want there on Sunday morning and the entire front walk was strewn with cigarette butts. This is absolutely disgusting! Smoking should not be allowed on the premises and if smokers choose to smoke, they should have to do so in their cars or completely removed from the property. This is a health facility with youth programs and the city should do more to protect the rights of non-smokers and further uphold the strict non-smoking policies of our city. Thank you for your attention to my concerns.

Neighborlink Report Location of your Problem: 3603 S Kingsbury Ave Details: There is a house on our street, S Kingsbury Ave, that has been empty since November 2009 when the owner, Phyllis Phillips died. Different people from the neighborhood have mowed the front area from time to time. The house has several dead trees that need to be removed, lots of limbs and just recently a large part of the tree in the front yard came down in the winds and is still there. It makes the neighborhood look bad. We are hoping you will be able to help get our street looking good again! Stop sign issue. The stops signs on Rogers (intersection with Dodds) are not apparent enough, so people have a tenancy of blowing through the four way intersection. The suggestion is a red reflective strip on the sign pole, or another way of making the stop signs more visible in order to improve safety at the intersection.

Large tree on corner loosing limbs, rental property, drive-by

The property on the S/W corner of Woodlawn and 1st Street has over grown bushes that encroach on to the sidewalk on Woodlawn causing pedestrians to walk in the street. The yard is pretty over grown too.

Report of graffiti at 1301 Woodhill Dr. There has been a "F--- You" spray painted onto a vacant house, as well as a spray painted phallic object on the street. A stop sign was also marked nearby.
