Is there any talks among city staff about this block on 4th street? Sidewalk on the south side has many spots of being un level due to tree roots while also missing bricks. The road really needs to be paved and have parking line painted in road so cars aren’t double parking at meters. Curbs need to be painted. Do I need to continue? Please go check for yourself and see what I mean. Bloomington starting to become a small version of Indy. Sincerely, IU student.
A lady named Janis Fox called me today to report that a street tree fell during the storm last weekend and its about to fall in her yard across her fence. The address is 1157 People's Court. Near the intersection of People's Court and Countryside Lane.
L Turn light sensor not working. North on Walnut @ hillside) Wait time with no cars is 15 to 30 seconds. Unnecesary.
Street sign and stop sign combo was knocked off anchor at 6th & Washington EB probably sometime New Year's Eve. I did not hear a crash, but noticed it first on the morning of Jan. 1, 2022.
One side of the metal grate on the sidewalk is bent and is a serious tripping hazard
The sidewalk in front of 522 S. Park Avenue has consistently had broken glass over the last two weeks. It was partially cleaned but now more glass has appeared. This is a safety issue.
Tree in parkway has a branch that has broken and is hanging down so low that cars are getting hit by it.
Sidewalk in front (north) of history center needs replaced.
After the snow storm two weeks ago, the street in front of my house was cleared, but not the dead end part of Brookside Drive that is beside my house. I e-mailed Joe Van Deventer, Director of Street Operations, to ask if that was an error or a new policy. I received no reply. I need to know the answer, so that I can attempt to reverse the policy if the policy for clearing snow from dead end streets has changed. As you can see in the satellite photo, I was forced to hand shovel 40 yards of Brookside Dr. to "get out" even 2-3 days after the snow storm.
