Curtis [Gilstrap] (not sure about the last name) was so helpful when I visited Rose Hill Cemetery last Wednesday (31 July). I knew the section numbers, but not the plot numbers for several family members. He stopped to ask if he could help. He located the plot numbers for me, directed me to them, cleaned some mold off one of the stones, took a picture for me--I had my camera, but to get a proper picture I would have needed to get down on my hands and knees, no longer possible for me! I also learned a great deal about the cemetery and its inhabitants. I don't think I told him how well-kept the cemetery is. He really seemed to care about the cemetery and its visitors and inhabitants. Please thank him again for me. Sheryn Peters

Anonymous caller asked if the pear trees in Sherwood Oaks could be trimmed... especially along Benson.

Not sure if this is legal mail. The person putting these in mail boxes was wearing street clothes. As I understand it, that us illegal.

I have been informed that the walking tour guide for Rose Hill Cemetery is a City of Bloomington publication, so I wish to report an error in it. The WWI statue in the cemetery is illustrated and described as Viquesney's "Spirit of the [American] Doughboy". It isn't. Attached is a photo comparing the two. The brochure is probably confusing the cemetery statue with the WWII Viquesney "Spirit of the Fighting Yank" in front of Monroe County Courthouse in Bloomington.

No problems to report at this time, just thanking the staff that responds to my reports.
I'm very impressed on the response times from report to repair and or acknowledgement.
It is very encouraging to know that my tax dollars are used in constructive ways.
Question:
There are times I wish to call in; instead of using the reporting app.
Is there a list of #'s for the different departments that could have a list of categories associated with what each one responds to for accurate reporting.
ie.
When I see a large bag of trash in the middle of the road (be it highway 37 or S. Walnut st.) being run over by multiple vehicles I think about calling utilities, but maybe I should be calling trash collection or police since its a road hazard.
Please advice.
Thank you
Randy Craw

In space between 124 E. Kirkwood and 110 S. Washington. Can be accessed from Washington St. on north side of 110 S. Washington St. property. There is a gate that is unlocked allowing unrestricted access. During a site visit, I discovered a strong smell of urine in this area. Contractors working on site stated people are sleeping and urinating in the area. Please have owner, Paul Pruitt, place lock on gate.
