I parked on 6th St near Dunn St and put money in meter. Turns out meter was not working yet. Why doesn't city government inform the public as to status of use of new meters. The entire meter process has been a circus.

I am complaining about the parking meter policy. I believe that this policy hurts downtown businesses. I would like the policy changed so that the meters do not have to be in use after 5 pm daily.

I'm not trying to appeal a ticket, but I do have a question. I received a parking ticket today because I did not properly use the meter which I should have. That was my fault, I admit. However, I took a quick look at the meter, and for some reason, it said "expires at 1:30 pm" or something like that. Do previous cars' allotted times continue even when the next person parks, and does the next person parking need to somehow stop the time and then start another session, or something like that? Just curious. Secondly, as I wrote in a comment that I realize was directed to the "other" and "public works" section of this site rather than parking, I would like to apologize again for a nasty, profane complaint letter that I included in the envelope I used to pay my parking ticket. I wrote the letter essentially in the heat of the moment, and did not mean anything I wrote at all. You may not have received the envelope yet, but it was poorly written, so please disregard it. I have a much higher view of the city than what the letter indicates and take full responsibility for today's parking situation.

To whom it may concern, My mother received notice from Capital Recovery regarding parking citations. The billing name is my mother's name, Debbie Sheahan. The two outstanding citation numbers are G1304060 (for $52) and G1304121 (also for $52). Please let me know the status of these, as this situation needs to be resolved for my mother's sake. I was under the impression that all payments were handled, and this is not the case. If you could please point me in the direction of someone who can help or can tell me the status of these citations, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Sam Sheahan

Citation # Q1500545: I put my credit card into the wrong meter (chose the one facing my parking slot) & didn't realize I had to use Meter/Space Number 102B (because it was facing the other way). When I came out of Samira Restaurant, I still had 16' of unexpired time (in the "wrong" meter). I hope you will understand that I actually did pay for my parking space. Thank you

I am hoping that i can be credited for my lack of action manually deactivating my parking session. I love the app and convenience of using the app for parking. However, the new pricing model requiring a stop action tripped me up...and I think it is more difficult and not as user friendly. I only parked for 30 minutes ..however, I was charged for the entire day: Transaction Details: Session Id: IC4494037815168R Activated: 6/17/2015 10:28 AM Deactivated: 6/17/2015 10:28 PM Zone: 76133 Location Bloomington, IN Space: n/a License Plate Number: HH1395 Parking fee: $10.75 Transaction fee: $0.50 Total Cost: $11.25 Please let me know your thoughts as I contemplate if I should continue to use the app.. Dear Parking Ticket Grandparent, Your "Notification of Overdue Citation" says that I can pay online at www.bloomington.in.gov; however that is the homepage's url, that is not where I would make a payment. The correct url to make a payment is two pages past the homepage. We want to make it easier for people to pay their bills. So rather than having them type in a url that makes them have to follow a couple of breadcrumbs, why not send out a notification with the correct url. https://bloomington.t2hosted.com/cit/index.aspx Or you could go the other way with it and go one step further. Tell that a payment can be made at www.google.com
