I am a frequent user of the Jackson Creek trail and connector up to Olcott Park. The trail just east of the bridge between Sherwood Oaks and Olcott has had drainage problems from the start, but they have steadily become worse, and now this section of the trail is not only messy, flooded and muddy, but to the point of being dangerous. I attach a picture of the mud accumulation on the trail at the bottom of the hill that students returning home from JCMS often ride with their bicycles. This mud is very slick, and it surely just a matter of time before a serious accident happens. I have another picture showing the mud accumulation right by the bridge, which is also an issue. Some effort to control the drainage form the east would solve this problem. Thanks. Arthur

I was walking down the B-Line today at approximately 12:10 pm and found it concerning that a city of Bloomington employee driving a small green vehicle was "patrolling" the switchyard by driving to remote locations and idling while using his phone rather than driving the trails. Perhaps a better use of his time would be to salt or plow the b-line, because although the roads are fine, the trail is iced up and difficult to use. Please fix these problems and ensure that city workers are doing their job! -concerned citizen

pull-up bars on B-Line at Allen Street were fixed the day after I reported it. Thank You! Please repair the parallel bars at Bryan Park, (northwest end). These bars have been in disrepair for years. I know several others who use the exercise equipment routinely. Best regards.

There is excessive growth on the walking/biking trail that starts in Park Ridge and follows the train tracks behind Woodbridge apartments. The section that goes between park ridge and pete ellis along the tracks is the worst. It is difficult to bike the trail.

I was walking along the B-Line Trail yesterday when I spotted a patch of dodder about 75 sq. ft. in area. It was located at light no. 32, in the Switchyards. This stuff is terrible once it gets going, but if you contain it now you'll save yourselves an awful lot of heartache in the future. If you need additional info, feel free to call me at 812.929.1513. Thanks for all you do, and all best wishes. John Linnemeier

I am a runner who parks at the Grimes/Patterson/Bike Garage trail head and runs south on the B-line most every day. Today for the first time after work (5:45-6:30pm) that parking lot was 90% full. Everyone who I observed coming and going from the parking lot had a gym bag and went in to Crossfit rather than using the trail. It seems like Crossfit as a commercial venture should have to secure its own parking for its patrons rather than allowing them to park for free in the trailhead lot to the detriment of trail users. Is it possible you may speak to the Crossfit owners or put up signage there before the students come back and it gets worse? Thank you for letting me know about this, in case there is nothing to be done and I need to find somewhere new to run.

To whom it may concern, We are thinking about buying a property in The Stands that borders the Goat Farm property and the Jackson Creek Trail. I was wondering what the rules and regulations, if any, are for building a trail on our property that would connect with the park property. Any information you can give would be appreciated. Thanks so much, Allison Stites 773-304-6832

Cynthia owns property just north of Bryan Park at 818 E Maxwell. On Bryan Park property just south of her property there are 4 drainage tiles that have collapsed. Holes are 6-12in deep in area that has not been mowed.

Large poison ivy is growing at the entrance to the rails to trails path. Specifically, it is on the fence on the East side/corner of the parking lot, along the sidewalk - growing out, towards the sidewalk. I know what it is (and to avoid it), but not everyone would. Could it be sprayed to kill it? (One time when I think the weed is worse than the poison needed to remove it!) Thank you.
