Hello! I live just off of the intersection of 5th Street and Bryan Avenue, right next to the IU Raintree House. I've noticed that one of the stop signs at the four way stop is missing, the post and all. I've seen people driving right through without stopping, and then realized that the sign was completely gone. It is the stop sign on the north east side of the intersection. Just wanted to let somebody know. Thank you for your help!

Consider installing "Wrong Way" signs for cyclists on Third Street. As a bus operator, I can't tell you how many near-collisions I've had with cyclists popping out of nowhere going the wrong way on Third at night. The lane markings at the entrance to the Jordan Avenue Parking Garage are incomplete. There are white lane markings for the exiting traffic, but there is no line of any kind marking the separation between ingoing and outgoing traffic. Shouldn't there be a yellow line there? I have witnessed several close calls at this location, when a vehicle entering the garage crosses a couple of feet over where the yellow line SHOULD be, into the left-turn lane for the exiting traffic.

For over 17 years we have lived close to the corner of Dillman and S. Old 37. As I type yet another traffic accident is being cleaned up at this intersection. It is time to have a 4 way stop put in. No more rumble strips, or intersection signs or yellow blinking lights, or cutting back the tree/brush line. (well, that does need to happen:-) This has got to be one of the most dangerous intersections in town. People coming off of 37 drive down old 37 like they are still on the highway. With the amount of houses, buses and children that are living in the area I would have thought that something would have been done by now to fix this problem, which is a serious safety issue to anyone trying to cross the road. The solution of a four way makes since and would not hurt the pocket book of Bloomington. If it is an inconvenience for people to stop then so be it. This has gone on for far too long and all attempts to do something, in the form of rumble strips,intersection signs,yellow blinking lights etc., by the city/county have just been band aids not real solutions. Please take my request seriously. Many of us living on the south side have children who are reaching the age where they will be on the roads as young drivers. As an adult with over 20 years of driving experience, I dread approaching this intersection or even pulling out of my own driveway near this intersection. Its a death trap and a game of chance. New traffic light installed on second street at twin lakes. Specifically in the morning during rush hour (7:00-8:00), traffic that is heading east on second street backs up because of it. Traffic can be backed up all the way to the other traffic light at Basswood Dr. The light changes quickly to allow 1 vehicle to come out of Millenium Apts but doesn't change back quickly to allow the traffic to flow on second street.

Cars coming south on Walnut Street up from Indiana business 37 and wanting to turn left into Blue Ridge run a great risk of being rear-ended by cars, which often exceed the speed limit. Our Blue Ridge intranet has recently been discussing this issue and would like to see the city address the issue in some way after investigation

Would it be possible to extend the turn signal time at Kinser/Madison and Hwy 46? When turning left from Kinser/Madison onto Hwy 46, the light only allows 2 cars to get through before changing. When Bloomington North lets out or the normal 5pm rush hour, I have sat through that light waiting to turn as much as 4 times and on one occasion several months ago, traffic was backed up and I sat through 7 signal changes before finally being able to turn. It really slows down traffic and backs it up. Thank You for your consideration.

I want to report a suggestion I feel would be helpful to the neighborhood of Sycamore Knolls. I live on Arden Dr, and believe the Arden Dr/High St. intersection is becoming more and more dangerous with the influx of young families moving in. As the only stop sign on that stretch of High Street, year after year I see near misses with pedestrians and cars at this intersection. I believe that if reflection strips or retarder strips were laid down at this 4 way stop more people would be aware of the stop sign being there and make a complete stop. Please let me know how I can move this issue forward, also on the south east side of the 4 way stop the tree limbs at times cover the stop sign upon approaching the intersection.
