Heading east on Third Street, there is a lane divider near the Big Red Liquor followed by a double yellow line however on MANY occasions cars try to turn left there which not only stops traffic but has the risk of accidents for people getting around them. I've seen yellow virtical 'posts' that are used to inhibit turning and wonder if that might be a solution.
At the intersection of East 10th street and N Smith Rd, N Smith R gets very backed up because traffic does not stop on East 10th. If someone wants to turn left, they have to wait for traffic coming from both ways. There is one lane on N Smith Road so traffic becomes backed up very quickly when someone needs to turn left. This happens especially in the afternoon. Traffic can become so backed up it extends past Meadow Park Apartments, nearing a hill. This can be dangerous when cars cannot see the stopped traffic until after coming over the hill.
You guys think you could take the time to maybe sink the traffic lights around town so you don't literally have to stop at every red light and that's every red light in a row all the crap you guys talk about climate change but yet you've got dozens of cards stopping at every red light You're just incompetent or it's an inside joke

I use the Walnut St and Fairfax Rd intersection about 10 time a week, going to and from work. Coming from Fairfax Rd turning left on to Walnut (to get to 37) is challenging, inefficient and dangerous. There is a designated left turn lane, but no left turn green light. Frequently only one car is able to turn left during a green light, causing several cars behind also turning left (after the light has changed) to rush through on turning left to get through intersection. Coming from the opposite direction, there is no left turn lane and to my knowledge no other designated lane, but the lane is wide enough for cars that are going straight to pass (on the right) the vehicles stuck waiting to turn left. Thus potentially causing an accident in the intersection. Left turning cars onto Walnut St don't see the 2nd car across passing the car in front of them waiting to turn left on to Walnut St. My suggestion would be to clearly mark lanes on each side of the intersection and put up a traffic light that includes green left turn signals for the Fairfax Rd and Walnut Street intersection. Turning west onto the 45/46 bypass at walnut... the turn arrows let about 4 or 5 cars go thru at best... even if they speed off the line... can the duration of the green arrow be lengthened a "few cars" or so...
A "Use the Zipper" or a "Take Turns Merging" sign (with a "Start Merge Here" sign) would make the merging by the new hospital safer. People queue up on one side and get angry/aggressive when others do not want to queue so (unnecessarily) early.
To whom may concern, The parking lines are faded and really need to be re-painted. This could also for a number of parking spaces around Bloomington. Thank you!
At the Atwater & Mitchell intersection Atwater becomes two-way going east towards High Street. Before the recent resurfacing of Atwater there was a painted arrow on Atwater Street just before Mitchell to warn drivers they had to turn left onto Mitchell. I have seen drivers on multiple occasions recently continuing on Atwater after crossing Mitchell driving on the wrong side of the road. Painted arrows and signs would be helpful at this intersection.
