Currently there are no "zebra stripe" crosswalk markings at the crosswalk on the west side of Third and Jordan. This lack of a clearly marked crosswalk results in pedestrians crossing with the light, but several yards from the intersection where the lighting isn't as good at night. As an IU Campus Bus operator, this concerns me as it could result in a bus-pedestrian collision. I ask that you consider adding pavement markings on the west side of 3rd and Jordan that clearly shows the location of the crosswalk. Thank you!

When exiting neighborhood, drivers can not see oncoming cars from the left. It seems like a dangerous intersection that might require more study.

Bloomington Muni Code 15.24.020 lists the speed limit on Indiana as 30, however this sign just north of 10th states "Speed Limit 25." I wonder how many erroneous tickets have been issued on this stretch of road.

I hope I can coherently explain this. If I don't effectively convey my complaint, please call me. I work for IU Campus Bus Service. I've noticed that the pedestrian crossing signal for peds crossing Fee Ln on the north side of 10th will stay on the "Walk" signal during the transition from 10th St having a green light to an all red (to allow peds to cross in all directions). The problem with this configuration is that a vehicle can effectively get stuck in the middle of the intersection if it was waiting to turn left/north onto Fee from Tenth, while partially in the intersection. In this situation, vehicles can either block the intersection or attempt to squeeze through pedestrians crossing on the north side of the intersection. As you can imagine with a bus, this is a dangerous dilemma.

I live in Summit Ridge Addition, I know that this is a newer development but there are very few street sign and none on our end of the addition. Deliverers stated that they had a very hard time find our place. How long will it be, before signs are put up? Thank you, Julie Wertz

Some signage or road surface markings would be useful at the intersection of 10th St and Pete Ellis/N. Range Road. The specific problem is when you're heading north. Pete Ellis has basically two lanes at the light. I'm not sure if there are any lane markings, but that's how everyone treats it. However there is confusion on what the lanes are there for. Most people treat the left lane as forward/turn-left, but some think the right lane is forward/turn-right. This becomes a problem when drivers in both lanes decide to go forward onto North Range Road, which has just two lanes. Because Range Road now has an outlet, it has seen more use in recent years, which is sure to increase even more when the hospital goes in. As such, I've either had or witnessed numerous close calls as people nearly sideswipe each other trying to go straight. It would be nice if there was signage indicating specifically what the lanes are there for. My suggestion is the left lane should be forward-left turn and the right be right turn only. Either that or some lane markings and arrows on the pavement itself.

I believe that the street markings for the N. Pete Ellis Dr. and E. 10th St. stoplight should be changed. Often, drivers use the "turn right only" lane to go forward through the intersection because a car which intends to turn left has held up traffic. This can create a dangerous situation where cars disregard the street markings in order to get through the intersection in a timely manner. I suggest that the outside most lanes of E. 10th St. be marked as the straight and right turn lanes and the inside lanes become left turn-only lanes. Secondly, because of the amount of pedestrian traffic around Fountain Park (because of the Bus Stop) I suggest that there be Pedestrian crossing buttons installed at the intersection. If you have any questions or need clarification, please don't hesitate to email or call me. - Adam
