Almost got into an accident TWICE thanks to the new white traffic pylons you put up blocking off 3rd Street where it becomes a one way on campus. I've had two cars pull out in front of me off of Mitchell street because it used to be a lane they could pull out onto but now it's blocked off for seemingly no reason whatsoever. Really unacceptable.
The white poles on Thurs street need to go. They are going to cause an accident.
The intersection of 11 and Forrest currently is a three way stop. I would prefer if this was a 4 way stop. I frequently travel between the buildings on the NE and the SW corners. It would also be helpful to have stop-lines/cross walk lines once construction is finished in the SE block.
There is a very dangerous vehicular traffic pattern on S Woodlawn Ave between Sheridan Dr and E Hillside Dr, especially near the Grimes & Woodlawn and Weatherstone & Woodlawn intersections. There is a blind hill on Woodlawn that greatly decreases visibility for everyone. North @ south-bound vehicles on Woodlawn regularly break the speed limit by 20+ MPH and have even seen estimated speeds of 70+ mph. Sometimes vehicles "floor it" on Woodlawn southbound from Sheridan Ln stop sign. The city should consider installing a STOP sign on Woodlawn @ Grimes intersection to decrease the speed of North & South-bound traffic on Woodlawn Ave. The city should also consider additional signage to protect pedestrians who are crossing from Weatherstone Ln to Bryan Park. I have almost been hit there several times by speeding cars and trucks. This is a primary route for cyclists, pedestrians, commuting students, and dog-walkers. Pedestrians and cyclists crossing Woodlawn anywhere between Hillside and Sheridan Ave risk injury and death by vehicles speeding up and down the blind hill. My license plate is missing
Is there anyway the city can paint parking lines on 100 W. 8th street? Before the paved this road, there were lines and since they paved this I believe last year, the city has neglected to doing this causing vehicles at times to take up two spaces. This has been mainly an issue at night. Please look into this. Also, the blue curb for the handicap space is extremely faded and really needs to be repainted.
Very concerned about traffic along Rogers between the two roundabouts (High St and Sare Rd). Is often bumper-to-bumper around 5p and worried about kids/older people walking, especially coming out of The Stands or the Sherwood Oaks Church. Would traffic-calming devices be considered here? Or, minimally, signs to slow down traffic?
While it's always been an issue by my definition, the amount of speeding has seemed to have gone way up in recent weeks/months. There are a lot of kids playing in this general area and many of us in the neighborhood are more and more concerned. What can be done?
We just need to slow down the traffic into The Stands going towards the park. Can we get one of the speed measuring signs to let people know how fast they are actually going?
I submitted ticket 176160 on June 14th. It was "closed" with the assurance having been sent to me that the needed pavement repainting on East Hillside was scheduled for July. Alas, it's August and - as of yesterday anyway - nothing has happened. Saw another "near miss" last Saturday, July 31st. I'm hoping not to see any more. Thanks!
