I am writing to complain about being towed from Bedrak Cafe parking lot at 8:30p by Tow Time and being charged $215. This is an extortion rate. The Bedrak Cafe has signs posted but you cannot see them when it is dark. They are tiny and dark in color. We were not given warning that we would be towed and then to be charged such an exorbitant amount is unreasonable. My fiance met me and we had 2 other friends that parked there. We were gone from our cars less than 20 minutes and 3 of the 4 cars were gone and the 4th one was in the process of being towed. The towing company has to be lying in wait for anyone to park there and then stealing your car and charging you this astronomical price. He then basically threatened us stating if we did not pay him immediately that it would cost us $20-40 more and that we would have to make an appointment to get the cars back at their convenience. This is extortion, we felt intimidated, and backed into a corner. Then on top of this he tells us that he has a contract with the owner of Bedrak Cafe to keep the lot cleaned out of all cars except when they are open. So how much of a kick back is Bedrak getting from Tow Time. And where is Tow Time located. I could not find a Bloomington address for Tow Time. What is the city regulations on parking and fees for being towed? This makes the city of Bloomington look very bad. No one will want to go down town if you cannot park in a lot where the business is closed. This is outrageous!

"Dear Mr. Hamilton, As my council representative has been ineffective and unsuccessful in dealing with this problem, I am calling on your office for help. For over two years the resident of 1316 South Palmer Avenue has been running a used car lot at his house. There are usually no less than six cars parked in front of his house and across the street from his house at any one time. At least one or two usually have no plates. In addition, his yard is a total mess. He doesn't care about the trash that accumulates in it. If this were a problem in Elm Heights, it would have been taken care of in one day. I understand that one can sell a car from one's property, but this man needs to find a lot that is zoned for selling multiple used cars, and move his business to that place. Please help in moving this used car lot from our street. It is an eye sore and it brings down my property value. Bill Alonzo Vance, Jr: Hi my name is Nicole Franklin emailing you about the allegations that I made against my job Brookdale Senior living in Bloomington Indiana in October 2019 I made a complaint at Brookdale headquarters against my administrative which is my boss a sheriff who was filling in she came from corporate in October she was just filling in until they found someone new I made a complaint against her in October her name is Cheryl and it was told by someone at that 1-800 number will I made the complainant when I call back to get update told me that the complaint went to my boss so I figured the complaint got stop right there I made a second complaint in January against my boss for discrimination two weeks went by also in the second complaint I stated that I might be losing my job over making these complaints against my boss someone from corporate in the second complaint I made was against my boss by the name of Cheryl two or three weeks went by I got a call from a Cheryl Jones from corporate while I'm at work saying I need to talk to you I'm holding investigation I said okay that's good now they finally looking into this matter she said I can't talk to you while you at work I'm going to have to talk to you when you leave work she sent me an e-mail told me that she would talk to me on Thursday at 1:30 I took the phone call at 1:30 I was off of work then she stated to me we're investigating you because we had a phone call come in and said you wanted to kill your white boss we no longer want you to go to work while we're holding this investigation and you will be on leave with pay until this matter gets handled and detectives will be notifying you about this threat this was two weeks ago I called Cheryl today Cheryl Jones to ask her am I getting paid on Friday still Cheryl informed me that the investigation is over we did not involve the police we handled it ourselves and we determined that you did make the threat and you no longer have your job and no you will not be getting paid after telling me while the investigation would be going on that I will be receiving my pay she never addressed the real issue about the complaints I made now the tables have turned and I'm the aggressor and I'm the one with the horrible allegations made against me saying that no Nicole we know you didn't make the threat but someone called said you wanted your boss killed your white boss so they're saying I never made the allegations they send someone called up there and made it and when I spoke with her today she said we held an investigation and we determined you did threaten a resident I said wait a minute hold on I thought you said I threatened my boss so she stumbled when she realized that I caught her in a lie by saying the residents did say that you threaten them I thought at first she said I threatened my boss no police were never involved if I was a big company like Brookdale Senior living I would have involved the police that was sounds like a serious matter to me and then they did make a determination on their own and leave me with that stinking stigma and I lose my 401k my stocks my bonds in my medical this is a serious matter I take it to be serious I knew this was going to happen once I made those racial complaints against my Caucasian boss that I will pay a price for it and now I'm feeling further discriminated against after I made the complaint now I have lost my livelihood and now my car gets repossessed next week because I can't pay my bills in in their system I have a way to check I am still an active employee as of today I don't feel which they're doing is right against me and I knew that it was a price that I was going to pay for making those type of allegations about racism America rather turn the other cheek than fix the problem and I stated that in my complaint when I made it the second time I was assessed for a pay raise 3 weeks ago and I was assessed as a team player I was in put it this way they assessed me as being a five star team player but my boss who I made the allegations against who only knew me since October she put down on there that I speak rudely to my other employees that I work with so that's when I made the second allegation against her because I believe she stereotyped me in my assessment I got along with all residents they love me the people that I work with swore that they will make statement saying that they see the discrimination against me now she have made them turn on me they have deleted me as a Facebook friends of course they're going to stick together at the end of the day they always do the other race at the end of the day they going to stick together but I'm still going to see if I could take them all on The Steve wilkos for a lie detector test I take this matter very serious very very serious

Can we get some attention on the empty giant boxes in East Bloomington? Kmart and Marsh? Maybe vacancy tax or financial incentives? But been years now. Bad for the area and whole town to just sit on good land in decent area not being used.

I just had a salesperson from Hawx Pest Control come to my door to try to sell me services. He was unmasked. Not sure exactly how that falls within the city and county ordinances (and state rules), but unmasked sales people coming to the door is not good.

Catalent's new construction is ~ 24/7 this results in near-constant beeping from the backup warning on their equipment. Today, the beeping was going at 6am , it runs to ~ 10 pm; including on Saturday and Sunday. Isn't this in violation of the noise regulations in town?

Since about June/July last year, karate class is happening in my culdesac. At first it was a single student lesson, but then it turned into multiple students and multiple classes a week with parents/cars lining the street. There were 2 classes Sunday, another yesterday evening, and 2 more today. I'm almost positive the guy running classes is from MCMA which closed its dojo doors during the pandemic. We felt like this was okay when it started. One of the kids lives next door and it was one class here and there, but this is kind of getting out of control. I don't want to ruin it for the kids who are getting some activity, but I don't understand why they don't do this in the park. I guess my question is is there any problem with someone teaching karate classes in a public culdesac?

One of the businesses just north of Broadview neighborhood on Rogers street is sounding an alarm like a truck's reverse beep during the city's overnight quiet hours. On Thursday May 20th it can be heard at 3am at nearby residences.

Loud industrial noises all through the day and night. Police said they cannot do anything because this is a business. Constant noise can be heard clearly from nearby apartments (especially southernmost apartments of The Willows Townhouses and Hilltop Court apartments), and even homes 0.5 miles away in Westpoint neighborhood. Advised that this is a batch production that the business Organized Living started on Monday and will continue through Thursday. This is not the first time they have done this days' long process that interrupts both sleep and daytime sanity. Machine in question is outdoors and at the northwest corner of the building, nearest to the populated area.

Hello - there is a very loud phone ringing noise that originates at a car lot on S. Walnut Street (I think it comes from Royal Toyota South). I live about 2,000 feet away on Somersbe Place off of S. Rogers. I can hear the phone ring inside my house with the doors and windows closed. This is a rather annoying noise carrying over a great distance. Will you please work with the City and the car lot to put an end to this offensive noise creating a nuisance for everyone living within a given radius of the car lot? Thanks!
