Deborah and Tapp intersection lights are not working properly. They change color way too fast and I think the motion sensor is inaccurate to when cars get to the intersection. PLEASE take a look at it and fix the timing
I don't know if this is the right site to complain, but the traffic light at Tapp Road and Deborah Dr. has recently started turning red a lot more than it used to. The problem with this in my opinion is that there are sometimes 10-12 cars stopped on Tapp Road while there are from 0-2 coming out of Deborah Dr. It also stays red longer than it used to. Just doesn't make a lot of sense.
When heading south on College lately, the lights at 3rd, 2nd and 1st seemed to be perfectly time to turn red when heading south at the speed limit between each. I don’t know if this is incidental but could be much better. Also the light at Walnut and South Dr is turning green for South Drive for lengthy periods even when there is no one waiting and even during early AM hours.
The east-west signal at Covenanter and College Mall Rd remains a persistent problem for cyclists. The signal seems to be triggered at best by a motor vehicle presence, meaning a cyclist approaching the intersection with no car nearby has no way to get a green light except by pressing a pedestrian beg button that is not accessible from the road. This is a recurrent problem that keeps getting marked “closed” but without real evidence that the matter has been addressed successfully for east-west transportation at this intersection. Stoplight at Basswood and Bloomfield has red light out
There is a history of this traffic light incorrectly perceiving a vehicle traveling south on High Street in the lefthand turn lane wishing to turn onto Eastbound Moores Pike. It's been reported and fixed at least once in the past, but the issue has returned and has been present for several months at least. The result is the left turn arrow coming on unnecessarily. This delays northbound traffic on High Street as there is often no southbound vehicle trying to make a left turn. (To drivers on northbound High Street, it appears as though all directions of the light are red simultaneously since there is no traffic flow.) Any help in fixing this would be appreciated by many. The traffic lights for the side road are horrendous, you have to wait almost 10 minutes before it switches! Please re-calculate these lights.
