We continue to have a flooding issue due to yard waste, leaves, seed pods, sand clogging up our street drain. I was up at 2:00 again this morning pulling the street drain that was again completely clogged so our garage did not get flooded. Water was almost to the garage. This has been a problem for many years and it has never been resolved. I have asked many times. MANY Times. I should not have to fear that if I am not home and it rains that there is a good chance we'll get water in our house because of our street drain is poorly designed based on the amount of debris that comes down our street. Would someone please finally address this issue.

At the tree line behind my house and garage, there has been inches of water standing since around Thursday or Friday. I have lived here for 30 years and have never seen the water standing like this. I believe something has happened at the house behind the trees and draining down into my yard. The house had had issues of the homeless in and out of there and I am deeply concerned about the damage to my, and my neighbor's yards. Please advise

Hello. Our public culvert just south of Hillside on High has a high level of debris since the storm. Neighbors have been cleaning but we need city help. We are aware of previous flooding that occurred reported by previous owners due to debris build up. This previous water damage is recorded with the city. Any help is appreciated and needed. We are fearful of another heavy rain. Thank you so much.

On the street, across from the house at 1490 E. Southdowns and close to the intersecting street of Eagelson, there is a visible and continuous stream of water that appears to be originating beneath the blacktop surface of the street. I first noticed it on a walk at about 4:30 pm today(12-10-23). When I returned home after 20 minutes, the water stream was still at the same level/amount as I initially observed. The water is draining directly into a storm sewer. I’m wondering if there is a water main break?

Not sure this is city or homeowner issue. Pooling water in ROW. This is the downhill side of a driveway and instead of draining it fills up after each rain, since the roadside gutter has been filled in. There are other examples of this in Green Acres. Reporting it in case something can be done.

There is a drain line that is broken that needs fixed. If you fill in the hole the pipe will get clogged if not repaired first.

A few years ago, Duke Energy installed this abomination of a culvert behind my back yard, adjacent to Rogers Road. They also installed two embarrassingly undersized culverts in the dry stream bed immediately south of this culvert further into my property. This was all done to get a truck back to a utility pole. After the two culverts clogged routinely, flooded the property, and were shown to be entirely insufficient, I complained and they removed the double culvert. I complained at the time about this awful eyesore of a culvert adjacent to the road, but they did nothing. The culvert served no purpose but to allow a vehicle onto the property without having to traverse a small dry stream bed. With the other culverts now removed (which were used to traverse the next dry stream), there is no reason for any vehicle exit Rogers Road at this location. Please, for the sake of our city’s beauty and the beauty of my back yard, have someone remove this grossly-too-long, rusted, paint-peeling culvert that serves no purpose. I hope all of the gravel can be removed as well, but I would be overjoyed with the sole removal of the pipe. Many many thanks for your consideration! There is often a fairly substantial amount of water flowing down the street on Wilson St (between Palmer St and Grant St). I'm not sure where it comes from, but it seems out of place.
