storm run-off issues
storm run-off issues
I live on the corner of Maxwell St. and Miller Drive at 1730 S. Maxwell Street and when it rains my front yard, near the street floods. A curb on the corner of the street would help this situation. I have noted a couple of other corners near my house where curbs have been installed (Circle Drive and Mitchell St.) to help with this same problem. Could someone please evaluate this issue and help me solve it.
The fire hydrant on Jordan, between the Delta Gamma house and the parking garage has been open, pouring water into the street all weekend and is still doing so. This is a gross waste of the city's clean water.
storm water pipes are clogged and stream bed is eroding. This is on the B-line just west of the rail overpass and across from the new Habitat development. Looks like i'm about to loose a tree to erosion in the storm ditch.
Looking to obtain any drainage reports for areas around Wapehani Bike Park. Particularly the Sam's Club and Rural King shopping center.
We continue to have a flooding issue due to yard waste, leaves, seed pods, sand clogging up our street drain. I was up at 2:00 again this morning pulling the street drain that was again completely clogged so our garage did not get flooded. Water was almost to the garage. This has been a problem for many years and it has never been resolved. I have asked many times. MANY Times. I should not have to fear that if I am not home and it rains that there is a good chance we'll get water in our house because of our street drain is poorly designed based on the amount of debris that comes down our street. Would someone please finally address this issue.
There is a drain in my backyard in which water from all my neighbors yard drains into during rain and heavy storm. The ground around the drain has sunk in due to the heavy run off over the years. Need to know if this would be fixed by the city?
Flooding/Standing water accumulates between the street and our fence. Looks like this may be part of the easement. This photo was taken in January, but it is a continuous issue whenever it rains. Can you please contact me to discuss this? Thank you!
I am requesting a ditch or pipe be installed in the wooded easement south of my property that will move the water out to the storm drain that was recently installed last year on Waldron Street in front my house. On April 13th of this year, we received a lot of rain in just a couple hours and I noticed most of the water was coming from the wooded easement South of my house and running down into my yard, pooling up and overflowing down near my basement (where i've had flooding from the street runoff in years past). Phil Peden is who I've talked to in the past. Hoping this can be resolved before we get more rain this Spring. Thank you, -Kyle Spears Homeowner of 102 South Waldron St. 812-369-0765
Wet bottom retention pond damaged by beavers, dam eroded and may fail. Water pipe directed to the creek falls short of spilling into the creek by 15 feet and is eroding the bank and exposing 50% of fine-tree roots near the bank.
