Electrical outlet on the south side of Madison very near the 10th and Madison intersection in the Trades District. Hopefully the exposed wires aren’t live, but I didn’t want to touch them to find out…
Hello, I work at Teach and Play ABA and it’s owned by Sara Shrivastav. She sent us an email in regards to the fire safety issues that she was made aware of and she hasn’t any intentions of making changes as of right now. I’m concerned because we’ve already had a fire in the facility and it was very poorly handled. I’m worried for the safety of myself, coworkers and children at the facility. She wrote us an email saying we are not allowed to let you in the building and it’s just very concerning to me. She has already opened two more facilities and they also don’t have sprinklers or fire alarms and I ultimately just want to make sure we’re in a safe environment. I’m also not sure if it’s structurally sound. She did a lot of the remodeling by herself so if there’s anyway someone could check that and make sure things are up to standard because she had mercury lightbulbs which caused the first fire, I would really appreciate that. Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns regarding this matter.
I have seen this vehicle parked illegally in the entrance to the First Financial parking garage pretty much every single day (both mornings and evenings) for months now. In addition to being parked right in the entrance, they are always blocking the "Fire Alarm Panel" access which is of concern in the event of a fire. I do notice that the vehicle sometimes points east and sometimes west so it does seem to move but it is always right there in front of the fire alarm panel access.
There's a pile of crap up against the north side of this building that looks like it's been there a long time. Fire hazard (?)
Apartment bldg. burned. 18 units effected.
517 West Wylie Street. This property has accrued a considerable amount of debris and excessive overgrowth to the extreme. Today, 30March2021, there was a brush fire on the property that endangered the neighborhood. The fire was so large that the hospital issued a alert to the staff stating that the fire was "....affecting the facility's HVAC units and depositing a smoky odor in the hospital building.....". When is someone going to do something about this mess? This property has been a disgrace to the McDoel Gardens Historic Neighborhood for a long time. It’s atmosphere is objectionable. Please help.
Low hanging limbs/branches touching power lines and hitting vehicles.
The Avenue refuses to fix their faulty fire alarm system and may be abusing it. Residents do not know if the alarms are real or not. This is resulting in people staying in their apartments when the alarm goes off. This is extremely dangerous and people’s lives may be at stake. The Avenue is solely responsible for this mess
This apartment complex refuses to update their fire alarms. Residents are forced to wake up at 2 AM only to have a false alarm. Lazy management refuses to fix it.
