Street & Traffic Signs
Bloomington, IN 47401, USA

Stop sign needed for all ways. Live next to this intersection and witness close calls all the time and worry about accidents actually occurring, especially with it being right behind the high school. Please install signs along Henderson.

Because Miller is a popular throughway and Maxwell does not have stop signs at the 3-way, there have been multiple accidents and even more near-accidents in the years since I've lived nearby. We could use stop signs to help the flow of traffic a lot.
Street & Traffic Signs

The lanes going north at Rogers and 3rd street are very faded. The right lane is right turn only, and the left lane is straight/right turn. Several times now someone has been in the right lane and gone straight, almost running into my car. I think this is because there is no clear signage. Please consider having more clear signage about the lanes, and repainting the street.
Street & Traffic Signs
E 2nd St & S Swain Ave, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA
- Case Date:
- 8/8/2021
(1) The speed limit sign on S. Swain Ave. posts a 30mph limit between University and E. 2nd St. This is a block with 3 houses in an area with 25mph. It would make more sense to make it consistent.
(2) This evening another deer almost got hit at the intersection of S. Swain Ave. and E. 2nd St. Drivers speed on E. 2nd St. between the stop signs on Jordan and Mitchell. To make it safer, a stop sign should be placed at this intersection. At the very least, a Deer Crossing sign. I've lived here 5 years and it's been a constant concern.
Street & Traffic Signs
E 7th St & N Dunn St, Bloomington, IN 47408, USA
- Case Date:
- 6/13/2023
Heading east on 7th towards Dunn, there seem to be trees or tree branches blocking every stop sign from full visibility. This seems dangerous to have the one intersection with stop signs in that area have obstructions of being able to see the stop signs as a vehicle driver.
Street & Traffic Signs
E 7th St & N Lincoln St, Bloomington, IN 47408, USA
- Case Date:
- 6/13/2023
I noticed that the "ONE WAY" sign on 7th Street to the east of Lincoln is behind a tree. The sign is in the median of the bike lane curb on 7th, and it is pointing an arrow to the north, presumably to tell traffic headed east on 7th that Lincoln is a one way. A small street tree is planted directly in front of the sign, obstructing its view.
Street & Traffic Signs
E Canada Dr & S Heirloom Dr, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA
- Case Date:
- 2/9/2023
Original Case #182702 Closed: Can't fix.
Can we please know who to contact to place signs. If we put signs up, the city will not take them down, or make us take them down because it is a private road?
Street & Traffic Signs
E Maxwell Ln & S Jordan Ave, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA
- Case Date:
- 9/13/2021
Maxwell betw approximately S. Highland and S. Sheridan included a very steep hill. When driving in either direction, the steepness of this hill creates poor visibility, and so very limited opportunity to avoid oncoming traffic.
Please consider a center line for this area.
Street & Traffic Signs
East University Apartments, 1603 E 3rd St, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA
- Case Date:
- 8/18/2022
Please remove the One Way sign that is on the North side of third street near S Mitchell. There is one on the left which clearly lets you know the traffic coming from the left is one way towards you, however this one make it look like you can turn right into the parking lot on the north side which has so not enter signs. It is unnecessary and confusing.
Street & Traffic Signs
Henderson St and Graham Place, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA
- Case Date:
- 8/31/2023
Please implement a 4-way stop at the intersection of S Henderson St. & E Graham Pl. / Graham Dr. because there are multiple neighborhoods which people come in and out of along these roads. It can be stressful to turn left from either of the Graham roads onto S Henderson St. Moreover, it can be a struggle to walk across the intersection without adequate protection in order to access the trail along Henderson or the Sports Complex nearby.
