Street tree is dead. Please replace.
The maple tree in front of my house is dying. The limbs are precarious, over the road and sidewalk and look like they will fall. It is a hazard to children and others walking by and of course drivers. It needs to be removed.
New tree vandalism
Large tree on SW corner of lot growing at 45° angle over sidewalk and street. Not clear if tree belongs to property owner or City, though there is no question that at least 99 % of the tree mass is above City property. Last year we removed the wintercreeper from the tree, which seemed to be strangling it. Now, we would like a couple of the longest limbs cut back so that they do not fall on a car or pedestrian or the tree across the street. We would like the tree to remain, just trimmed up a bit. If this is the owner's responsibility, how does one go about getting permission to block the street and prevent cars from parking there while trimming is being done?
The city planted trees in the sidewalk plot in front of our house. One of them is leaning back a lot.
School bus driver said someone blew through this intersection today because they may have not seen the stop sign there. He says there are tree limbs blocking the stop sign. Can you can add this intersection to your pruning list please? thank you so much! W 11th St & N Maple St

Visibility of the stop sign at the intersection of East Morningside Drive and Smith Road is compromised for southbound traffic by tree branches that have grown into the right of way to the extent of overhanging part of the southbound traffic lane. Limited visibility of the stop sign from the railroad underpass has the visual effect as if the sign were at the end of a long tunnel. Trimming the trees west of the sidewalk on Smith Road, especially the evergreens, would have an immediate positive effect on safety at the Morningside Greenway intersection. Safety improvements at the intersection of Morningside and Smith Road are being considered to encourage southbound traffic on Smith Road to stop at the Morningside Greenway. This has become an urgent issue following injuries caused by a recent car-bicycle collision when the car ignored the stop sign.
Street tree is blocking sidewalk and street
A large (dead) limb broke off the top of the red maple out front in the ROW, but the limb got caught in some other branches and is now hanging up there over the street. Can someone carefully extract the limb from the crown so that the healthy limbs (and cars and pedestrians) underneath are not in peril? It is too high up for a regular person to do it alone. Looks like it will require either a specialist who is a good climber and/or some sort of crane. Thank you.
