Either a new streetlamp was installed or they changed the bulb in this street lamp and the light coming through my black out curtains is obscene. I feel as though my house has a spotlight shining through the windows. Can this be replaced with a different bulb or replaced with a fixture that casts the light downward rather than out?
The bike store recently put up a super bright orange neon light in the window facing Grant Street that says Velotric. It lights up the apartments across the street all night long. Can they turn it off at night or move it to another window? This is a neighborhood not a mall. They are the only busines in the area.

Four years this light has been broken. Turn lane arrow is triggered but no cars need to turn. I feel bad cutting through the alley in my truck with a loud exhaust waking up all those people in the morning but that is what I have to do so I don't sit and wait and wait and wait at a light you refuse to fix. The citizens of this city have lost more money idling in their cars burning fuel waiting for nobody but the broken light than it would have cost to fix. Do you hate the people of the west side?
Lights too bright at this marathon. Too many lights visible everywhere and glare.
Really bright floodlights above the back door are on all night long and are shining on the alley and the backyards of 4 other houses!
I live directly across from the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity house and the light on their property shines directly into my bedroom window at night and on my head where I sleep. I was hoping it could be possible to make them turn them off? There is nobody living at the house right now so I am unsure how to go about asking them myself.

This is the 2nd time I’m reaching out about a nuisance light. I reached out on 06/16/26 about a nuisance light on the neighboring houses property. That case number is #211729. The case still just says open. The house is currently vacant. There is a private light pole on the property that is so bright it illuminates my backyard plus my bedroom windows. Because of this I I am having a lot of difficulty sleeping. I don’t mean to sound like that person but I am a first responder that spends a lot of time awake through the night so when I’m at home, my sleep is very important to me. Also because of this light, my family and I are no longer able to sit out on our back porch in the evenings due to being blinded by this light. I did send one image and my first complaint. It shows where the light is in comparison to my back yard. I will send another picture with this complaint. The picture with this complaint is my face illuminated from the light as I sit on my back porch in the evening. If need be I have many more pictures I would be glad to send. This light was recently installed, and it has caused me to be unable to sleep in my own bedroom despite curtains. My back yard is almost entirely illuminated (see image). I believe this constitutes a light trespass as defined in Bloomington city ordinance section 20.04.090 section (4) and lacks proper shielding as outlined in section (5)(A).
