I would like to request that a turn signal be added to the traffic lights at the 3rd Street and Woodscrest intersection for drivers on 3rd Street coming from the East who wish to turn South onto Woodscrest. There is already a turn signal on Woodscrest for drivers who are driving North and turn West onto 3rd Street, and that turn signal is extremely helpful. However, there is no turn signal on 3rd Street for people who wish to turn left onto Woodscrest after coming from the East, and as a result, the turn is very difficult and often even unsafe to make. Often times, drivers never have a chance to make a left turn while the light is green due to the often high traffic on 3rd street, and so the drivers are able to turn only when the light turns yellow. Adding a turn signal there would undoubtedly increase the safety for everyone at that intersection. Many of the other intersections on 3rd Street have traffic lights with left turn signals, even for both the East and West directions, and I don't think that the 3rd Street and Woodscrest intersection should continue to lack a turn signal for drivers turning left onto Woodscrest. "Head start" for pedestrians. Use the NYC trick, give walkers a 7 second head start before turning the light green. This intersection, the one on the bypass and 10th, and the Kirkwood Walnut crosswalk are just 3 places drivers ignore pedestrians as they only look at cars so they can make right turns. Please. Has the city considered installing a protected bike lane on 3rd street? Particularly between Jordan Ave and Indiana Ave. I just drove by and there were TWO Semi-tractor trailers parked in the lane and a sedan parked in the lane. It really reflects poorly on the city that you put in useless white paint and nothing to actually protect people from vehicles. I never bother to use the bike lanes for this reason, you never know when you'll have to keep re-entering vehicle traffic.

Sign indicating turn and reflective lights desperately needed. Two cars have gone of road at this same turn in last two months. Woman was trapped for over 24 hours on over incident. Second incident took down a utility pole which is still down.

It seems that the timing of the traffic lights on College through downtown needs to be re-set or something. I drive that route 4 mornings a week at about 5:45 am and typically I will stop at a light at either 10th or 11th and from then on it's smooth sailing. Starting last week, the timing was off, and since then I've had to stop at as many as 5 intersections between 11th and 1st Streets. Just wanted to let you know! :) Thanks!

YIELD sign on Adams as you are going north on Adams and preparing to turn east on Kirkwood is facing AWAY from the street. It is facing the cemetery and there is no cemetery exit at that location. This sign should be turned so it faces the oncoming traffic-- vehicles going north on Adams and turning right on Kirkwood.
