In reference to case #158545 regarding Park Ridge Park, we looked at the park and the mulch cover appears to be unchanged since the case was closed. There is still a general lack of mulch and several bare spots underneath the playground structure. Also, the first mowing occurred, which is great. Unfortunately, it has revealed bare spots in the grass surrounding the playground, in particular along the north west side of the park. Leaves were piled in that area over winter (and several other areas) and the grass has not come back. Could grass seed/straw be put down in that sloped area northwest of the playground structure as well as other areas that need it? Thank you.

In front of Alumni Building on 17th Street, there was a crosswalk sign in the middle of 17th that apparently was hit by a vehicle. The IU Grounds Department picked up the pieces and took them to our shop at 901 E. 13th Street. They can contact the grounds supervisor, Rick Stanger at 812-855-0050 if they want to meet him and pick up the pieces of the sign. Thanks Jill.

Please see attached photo. This location is at 10th and Park and has been reported to the IU Grounds Dept. as a tripping hazard. The gray bucket is there to indicate a bus pickup for the Boy Scouts that are in town but the metal and the sandbags are blocking the sidewalk, our crews moved the items off the sidewalk and into the homeowners yard. There was a car accident on Indiana Ave. between 8th and 9th Street by Mather's Museum. There were 3-4 street trees that were damaged (and possible curb damage). IU has determined there were street trees planted by the City. Thanks Jill.

I couldn't reach anyone with Animal Control. There is an owl that appears sick or injured on Forrest Ave. close to 14st. He is by the fire hydrant between two large trees on Forrest. He is not moving when approached. Thanks Jill.
