Water is not coming in from the main. Suspect frozen pipe leading to house.
Water is not coming in from the main. Suspect frozen pipe leading to house.
Water does not come out after coming back from winter break.
Our water hasn't been working since Sunday. The employee who came out then said the pipe was frozen from meter to main and that a crew would be out. A crew has not been out today and I am trying to find out when one will be and when we can expect to have water on again.
Reported to Mike Carter via email 1/11/18. Reporting to uReport as well. FYI. With the new snow, it’s a lot easier to see where the leak is at. I hope you had a nice long weekend… Best, Rick On Jan 11, 2018, at 2:27 PM, Rick Birch Dietz wrote: Mike, here’s the scoop on the leak we discussed. Thanks! I live at 1500 E Maxwell Ln. I’m at the SE corner of Maxwell and Sheridan. There appears to be water pooling on east side of Sheridan near the western entrance to my driveway. I noticed ice here a few times last winter but thought it was just frozen road runoff and it wasn’t super cold last year so ice build-up wasn’t significant. But it’s been well below freezing and there shouldn’t be standing water. I didn’t observe anything like this in the spring, summer or fall. I assume there’s a small water line leak underground, perhaps underneath the road. The road is cracked along the edge so there may be some freeze/thaw going on. It doesn’t seem to be an emergency — the flow seems pretty minimal but it does generate some ice south of the wet area when below freezing. I wanted to report this now that I realize what is going on. I placed a stake with orange flagging tape in the area where it seems like water is coming to the surface. Thanks for looking into this. Water Dept: Help please: I am a Bloom City water customer. My water pressure dropped to almost nothing the evening of Dec 17, 2013 at approximately 7:30pm. I reside at 4620 East State Rd. 45, Bloomington, IN 47408. My cell phone is: 812-345-9026. Is there a reason for the H2o pressure drop in my neighborhood? Please contact me. Al Kosinski
Hi there! My name is Melanie Nelson, I work in environmental services for Daly City. Our department is putting together a workshop on water conservation in the home as part of our "Going Green" series. We see it as a great way to protect the environment while also educating the community and saving them money, it's a win-win-win situation! Your page, http://bloomington.in.gov/waterwise , has been awesome as a guide for the event planning committee, and we can't thank you enough for posting it! The reason I'm emailing you is because a local middle school class has been helping us with the endeavor as a volunteer project and they (very proudly, I might add) found a great article here: http://www.improvenet.com/a/water-conservation-at-home . The article is a basic overview for children on water conservation in the home and its benefits, with links to several great sources for both children and adults. I think the kids would be absolutely stoked if you were to post a link to the article on your page, they love to help out wherever they can, and seeing the link on your page would show them that they've made a difference and their actions have had an impact (however small). Please let me know if this is a possibility and I look forward to hearing back from you soon! Thanks again! -Melanie
