The sidewalk ends abruptly in a very dangerous intersection. This turn needs to be improved for pedestrian safety. The sidewalk should not be on only one side of the road, particularly in such a dangerous location for pedestrians to cross the road, just to have the sidewalk reappear only meters away.
Could you please install a painted crosswalk at 3rd and E Grant? 3rd is very high traffic and as cars come around the corner heading west, it makes for a dangerous crossing for pedestrians who are given no right-of-way.
We own a business at 14th and Walnut and often see horrible accidents at the corner of 14th and Walnut. We also see DAILY CLOSE CALLS with both pedestrians, cars/trucks and now certainly scooters! There are no stoplights between 17th and (I believe) 10th street. Coming down the hill from 10th street cars/trucks often RACE down the road right in front of us. Having a stoplight at the intersection I feel would reduce the number of speeding vehicles headed towards 17th street. Just this morning I saw someone walking across the street as two cars were speeding down Walnut. I don't know if one of them was distracted or not, but the person crossing the road nearly was hit and I am sure would have been killed. Thank you for looking into this.

I was struck that there are pedestrian ramps on the south side of W. 3rd St. This indicates to me, as a pedestrian, that there is an intention for me to be able to cross Patterson Blvd. Having done this on multiple occasions, I take my life in my hands: there is a right-hand turning lane on Patterson at 3rd. Many vehicles turn right onto Patterson while traveling east on 3rd, and don't anticipate a pedestrian. There is no crosswalk at this location, which will be imperative with the new retail development just west of this intersection. While I doubt that there are many pedestrians crossing here, you may as well anticipate a crossing signal, which would be a kindness.
Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. Hello. I am the property manager for Tamarron HOA. There is a cross walk to Univeristy Elementary School from Tamarron. We are having issues with speeding vehicles and children crossing the street. At the HOA board meeting tonight it was suggested putting a three way stop sign at the intersection of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive to at least slow the traffic down. Who do we contact about this? One Board member brought up if there is a stop sign on the north end of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive, it will re-route cars down the south side of Tamarron so maybe installing two stop signs at each end of Callery Drive and Tamarron Drive. At the intersection of Henderson and Winslow, the walk signals to cross Henderson are activating every time. Until a few months ago they only activated if the button was pushed to cross. Henderson already had a very short green cycle. With the length of the green cycle for Winslow to accommodate the walk signal this guarantees a long wait for traffic traveling north/south on Henderson. Hopefully this is not intentional and things can return to the walk signal activating on the button push. If the change was intentional, please lengthen the time Henderson has the green light.
Traffic lights on 4th at 4th/College seem mis-timed, at least when I am driving east at 8:30 am. The College Ave lights, in front of Serendipity/Atlas, are red for about 7 seconds before the 4th St light turns green. The same light at 4th/Walnut turns at the expected time. I'm seeing people sneak through 4th/College some mornings because the one-way southbound College Ave traffic is so clearly stopped to our left.
The traffic light at this intersection (S. Bryan Ave/High St & E. 3rd) has a very short timing on the Bryan Ave/High st. side, especially during rush hour. Traffic is nearly always backed up after 5pm due to the lights only being green for ~5 seconds, while the 3rd street lights are green for far longer. This is a problem for those of us coming off campus for the day at 5 as both roads get lines of traffic. If it would be possible to extend the length of the green light for these two 'side' roads for longer so traffic had more of a chance to clear, it would help ease congestion on these roads.
