Looks like most if not all of Green Acres did not have recycling picked up today.
Hello there I hope you’re having a good morning. I am making another report this week regarding the same issue I made a few weeks ago. a few weeks ago, my initial report was that the waste management completely trashed all the streets in the Green Acres neighborhood. This week, there is not any trash, laying out to the extent that there was when I made my first report. However, the placement of the trash bins and the recycling bins were strewn across all areas of properties in the entirety of the Green Acres neighborhood. I was driving on my way to work, and I saw multiple bins far off from where they should’ve been. Many trash bins were left in the middle of the lawns and recycling bins were strewn across driveways, etc. Of the many things that caught my eye this morning, I have attached the one that caught my eye the most. in the attachment I have provided, we can notice that the trash bin is fully turned over and standing on its top… and further back in the picture, you can notice the recycling bins in disarray. For people with disabilities, it is extremely hard to relocate the waste bins if they are thrown around or flipped over. Last week’s waste removal was great. However the week before last and this week were not ideal. Please forward this to the right people and I hope we can make Bloomington a more appealing place to reside. Thanks
Trash all over the yard in the back and offensive signage. The back is visible from 7th street.

This address is the dead-end address of a very dark street that would benefit greatly from a city street light. I would submit a photo but it would be simply black dark.
excessive weeds growing in front yard, hanging over the road, blocking full road access for cars/pedestrians. weeds about 3 foot high. Looks to be between 2601 and 2615 e dekist. Also present are various items on display in a stand at 2601 e dekist, looks to be trash/refuse and easy to blow off the stand into the road, polluting the neighborhood. There is also food produce displayed here with no refrigeration or container, encouraging rodents/vermin and rotten food items near where children play. I am concerned this resident is not keeping up to city living standards and the 'communal living' center that seems to be run here is suspected of having more than 3 unrelated adults living here. If other residents are held to a city-defined standard, so should this address.
Trash has been there for weeks and is visible from 5th street.
Guests park along the front of the property poorly which blocks other residents from moving around their vehicles safely due to poor visibility and turning radius while backing out of the driveway. They are aware the trouble it causes but still continue to park there. Also creates big blind spot hazard and has led to many close calls with vehicles going up and down the street due to forced single lane passageway.
Hi I hope you are doing well! I commute home via scooter and I get home well after dusk. When there is no more natural light in Bloomington, this area gets pitch black. This is dangerous because even with a bike light, you are still riding into a yield sign and a dead end. Some unlucky person will miss it and hurt themselves. Also, another reason for a street light is because it is the only section of 7th street that does not have one… or one that works. ESPECIALLY with the speed bumps and the curb coming out to meet the speed bump, it is impossible to see. Thank you for your consideration and I hope we both can contribute to a safer Bloomington!
