Numerous potholes on Short street that need to be filled. Thanks!!
The turn signal on 17th to turn on to college lasts 10 seconds and is impossible for one let alone 2 cars to get through. Increases traffic along 17th street
There is a line of sight issue turning right out the Goodwill Store parking lot. The trees and vegetation makes it very difficult to see oncoming traffic, since Liberty Drive makes a bend right at our access drive. An article was ran in the Bloomington Herald Times by Marci Creps describing how hazardous this intersection is. We would like to have this resolved as quickly as possible, given the bad publicity we have already received from this issue.
Graffiti on window of Millers Barber Shop
Lights on both sides of the street at 6th and Washington (in front of the smith house entrance at 125 N Washington) are out. Very dangerous when coming back from late classes or being out.
street light out at 4th and Rogers
The pedestrian crossing at 10th&Fee has been out for two weeks or so; pedestrians have to jaywalk to get across.
This is a dangerous intersection with a stop sign for Dillman traffic, but not Old State Rt 37. The problem is visibility when you're on Dillman. If you're headed west, traffic coming from both sides of Old State Rt 37 are not very visible as the roads both bend and have hills. If you're headed east at that intersection, you're also dealing with an incline. I've nearly gotten into an accident at that intersection, and now that I'm also teaching a teen to drive, it reinforces how dangers that intersection is. There isn't space for a roundabout but turning it into a 4 way stop would make a huge difference in safety. Thanks for considering it!
On 1/24/2025 and 9:15 AM on bus #0348, I observed the strong odor of and could see smoke-haze from deisel exhaust backing up into the public bus. I have spoken to Bloomington Transportation dispatch and customer service and was told that, "That is just part of the bus's regenerative re-uptake process." When they refused to take this matter seriously in the past, I contacted the EPA. The EPA shall be contacted again on this issue since neither the city nor bus company will take this matter seriously, which inevitably affects the city's rating with the EPA as a green-friendly city. Sincerely, Timothy MacKenzie
