Pavement around storm drain has crumbled, making the grate a hazard.

The construction at 4th & Rogers(The old Auxiliary Police Building) They have broken through the storm pipe that runs under the back of the building. Thay say all they have to do is fill it with gravel and it will bo ok. This storm drain handles all the street drains in the area. Can they do this? It is part of the drain that flows into the Jordan River.

The storm drain between 1019 and 1017 w 6th st isn't draining. Water is flowing on top of it.

The metal covering over the storm drain in the "round about" has come off. The cover is in the street and the hole is open. The drain looks clogged with mud and debris. There is also a big hole. Kids play in this grassy area. This uncovered drain is a broken leg waiting to happen. The metal cover in the street is a hazard.

Bicycling on Howe, I was struck by the fact that both storm sewer grates appear to be obstructed by yard waste, which will become an issue when we get our spring rains before the thaw. I suspect that this is not an isolated experience.

We had our basement flood (wet carpet in half the basement) on January 20, 2017 without any previous sign of leakage on that side of the house. The source of the water is unclear, but I'm wondering if the home (built ca. 1973) has a footer drain connected to the storm drain. Kevin Potter is coming out to inspect for structural damage at 2 pm today (1/25/17) The city storm drain was updated within the past two years with the new pipe starting at the down-slope corner of our property. The neighbor two houses up-slope from us discharges a lot of water from his property and had excavation work done near the end of his french drain on the 18th or 19th. Part of this work involved off and onloading a sizeable backhoe in front of our driveway near where the old and new drain pipe would be joined. I'm not sure what work the neighbor had done. In addition to his drainage, the neighbor immediately down slope from us was also draining his pool into the storm drain on what had been a very rainy week. Is it possible to send a city employee out to see whether some combination of these activities has caused the drainage system to fail or otherwise backflow into our house? Thanks!

I have traveled High Street between Arden Rd. and 3rd Street twice a day for the last ten years. Every time there is a heavy rain, water accumulates and flows down High Street between E. Mores Pike and 2nd St. forcing me to move to the other lane to avoid going through large amounts of water creating a very unsafe situation. I was delighted to see this section of High Street repaved last summer and noticed the sewers also being worked on. I assumed, incorrectly, that the runoff problem would be corrected during this maintenance project. Since the paving the runoff has actually gotten worse. Are there plans to fix this unsafe situation so cars can travel safely on High Street without endangering drivers and pedestrians? I regularly see in the Herald Times where is city is allocating and spending money on hiking and biking trails, sidewalks and various pedestrian conveniences. Hole in street near storm drain at bus stop is hazardous to passengers getting on and off bus

The asphalt surface around storm drain inlet in front of my home (2631 S. Atlee St) has given way...fallen below surface level. There are additional cracks in the pavement and it appears the issue could get much worse. Currently someone could step in the hole and twist an ankle or worse. Photo attached. Thank you.

I own the property at 809 S. Fess. The sidewalk in the front of 809 S. Fess is sinking in right above where the storm drain runs underneath it. There is a crack where you can see a huge cavity opened up under the sidewalk. I am afraid it may cave in. The storm drain must be leaking under there. Please check it out. Thank You!
