The light is green for too long for south/north facing traffic. I have observed multiple instances there are no cars, but traffic will be backing up in east/West lanes. Westbound has it particularly bad as the traffic will start backing up past the Cory Lane intersection as a result of this light-once I make it past this intersection traffic flows so much faster.
To turn right off Kimble onto West 3rd Street going west you sit through at least 7 traffic lights. Cars continue through intersection going west and you cannot pull onto 3rd Street when u have the right away from other vehicles blocking intersection illegally. the lights are not timed correctly and it is a major problem
Traffic light for Wynnedale cycles through even though there isn't anyone there causing traffic to backup over the bridge in the mornings and to back up to Landmark in the evenings. This morning a car was stopped going eastbound on 3rd street just seconds after the light turned red to make a left turn onto Franklin, they did not get the arrow. There wasn't anyone turning left westbound but that traffic got the green light while eastbound traffic had to wait. The issue with the light cycling through for the Wynnedale traffic has been ongoing for at least 2 weeks.
Just a question regarding the signal at 10th and the Bypass, specifically when a train is passing, just south of the intersection: why is eastbound traffic not given a green light? It makes sense that southbound traffic at that intersection shouldn't get a green light until the train has passed, but I'm uncertain why traffic on 10th, heading straight east, is held up when there's a train. Traffic signal does not give west bound or east bound traffic enough time at West 3rd and Frankin, by McDonalds.10 cars back and fifteen minutes later you get to turn is awful. Lights are not synced correctly. Light will be green for the 37 exit north bound but red for the West Bound traffic. Can this be corrected soon it has went on for too long now and is causing major traffic problems!
The traffic signal has been operating slightly different than usual and I believe it is contributing to the traffic congestion at the 3rd Street/Franklin/Wynnedale intersection (that is already congested). Instead of cars from my neighborhood tripping the signal when we pull up to wait (as well as the movie theater traffic), the traffic signal for the intersection is going through the entire cycle (as if cars are waiting from the movie theater area and my neighborhood). The green light time from the neighborhood is also significantly longer than from the other areas.
it is taking far too long to get from Landmark ave. to the Mcdonalds on west 3rd. I spent 20 minutes today in that area and there wasn't an accident nor workers working. I have worked with doctors who did their residency at County general in Chicago, and they on more than one occasion that they could get from one side of downtown chicago to the other faster than getting across Bloomington. That says something for our traffic flow!
Timing of turn signal from westbound lane to south College Mall
The lights on 3rd street between Patterson and Curry are horribly timed. You are lucky to get through a light on the 5th cycle. I don't understand why these lights are so badly timed when lights on Walnut/College are so well timed. Thank you!
The lights between Patterson and Curry on W 3rd are very poorly timed and are causing a consistent traffic back log.
