I'm worried about a mallard nest in the park - that the mom and eggs will survive with dogs etc. in the park. Just wanted to make you aware. It's located in the weedy area around the ditch that flows north to south, near a bird house.

The wood mulch surface of the playground structure at Park Ridge park needs replenished. As a regular park goer, it appears to me that the wood has degraded and other wise been slowly moved away from the play area over time. Currently, there is bare ground in spots of high foot traffic and increased potential of erosion from those spots, plant growth, etc. Also, I am not aware of the mulch having been replenished since the park was remade. Given that that renovation was completed 3 years ago, it seems like it is just time to add some more mulch. The bathroom at the lower cascades park has been locked the past 5 Saturdays and or Sundays that my family has visited. There is no "out of order" sign. But it worries me because there are hundreds of people that visit that park, especially on the weekends. I actually wondered if maybe the park itself is closed on weekends during the day (around 1 o'clock in the afternoon). So my questions are: -is the bathroom supposed to be locked during the day on the weekends? If not, -when will someone reopen it? -what are the hours that the park is actually open with access to the bathroom? I don't know if your responses to u-reports are public or even available to me (without leaving an email address). But I hope they are, so that the other parents can also be informed.

While walking my dog in lower cascade park yesterday, I noticed parking lots were full and people were parking in grass area since most of the parking spaces are blocked off. It is unusually warm this year so it may be a good idea to open up the parking lots early this year.

I was at Lower Cascades park yesterday and the large rope play structure seemed less stable than normal. The blue center support pole was visibly swaying as kids climbed the ropes. I may be wrong, but i don't remember the pole moving on our previous visits to the park. I just wanted to let you know so someone could take a look. Thanks! PS - we love lower cascades park.

Hi, I have a request regarding the tennis court lights at Winslow sports park. Currently they come on some time between 8:15 and 8:30 pm. This leaves bit of a lag between dark and the lights coming on. Can you please change the time the lights come on so that this lag is eliminated? Also, last year the lights stopped around the end of October. Since it is good weather for outdoor tennis till mid-December, will it be possible to extend the days for tennis court lighting? People park. This park is over run by homeless. It is not useable by others. More disturbing is seeing someone shooting up in evening when walking with family on Kirkwood. This is an unsafe environment. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
