I've lived in this neighborhood for over 20 years, and the city put a hazard sign on the sidewalk months/years ago, but nothing else has been done to correct the problem, which can be quite dangerous at night
Alley on the north side of 112 W 6th Street, Bloomington IN: there is a guardrail installed, the base is utterly deteriorated, very loose to the touch, poses a danger to pedestrians and any vehicular traffic brave enough to use the ease and/or north alley. Needs to be repaired. Thank you.
I sent in an earlier report (uReport Case #188352) about the traffic issue at the corner of High Street and East Maxwell Lane but might not have put the corner in the body of the message. The issue is that north/south cars regularly don't stop at the stop sign, endangering the many walkers on Maxwell Lane. It may be that bushes on the northwest corner need to be trimmed, but it also may take more than that to resolve the problem.
Severely deteriorated sidewalk. No longer accessible.
An area of new sod immediately adjacent to the sidewalk and between the sidewalk and street has collapsed (in some places to a depth of 9 inches) in such a way that it is unsafe for bicyclists or pedestrians who may veer off the sidewalk even very briefly. We believe this sod was laid after the ground was dug for installation of the fiber cable for Gigabit Now. We (University Baptist Church) are not certain of the best agency to contact about the problem, and we are hoping that you will either take care of it or direct us to the correct people to contact. I was just walking at the intersection of Kirkwood and Grant and came upon a woman who had just tripped on an uneven sidewalk and hit her head on the sidewalk. She was bleeding from her brow. Two men were tending to her injury. I bystander sitting on the bench a few feet away told me what he’d seen, that she was walking east on Kirkwood, looked ahead of her for a second, and tripped over the uneven sidewalk. The lip is sticking up right next to a very small utility manhole-type thing. I have two more photos I took right away. This is of her blood spattered on the pavement. Can this uneven sidewalk please be repaired? It is clearly a hazard and would have to be problematic for anyone using a wheelchair there as well. Thank you.
The alley on the south side of 320 S Jackson has some huge and jarring potholes that need some gravel or patch to fix them. The other alleys in the area that were helped before could use a little touch up. Thanks, Chris
Storm drain doesn't handle rainfall when a lot comes down in a short amount of time. Flooded our garage on May 26 2024. Water travels from the north on Lincoln St and carries debris and dirt in large amounts. thank you
The tree/roots between the sidewalk and road between 2704 and 2702 E Brigs Bnd has caused the sidewalk to tilt and hold water. This will pose an icy surface and is difficult with my walker. I also am concerned the water will cause damage to my driveway. Is this something you can look into. Thank you. V/R Kenneth Crevier
The roundabout just east of Sherwood Oaks Church.. Sare road. I reported a piece of concrete there on east side of roundabout.. Sunday I noticed it was still there and wanted to let you know again. It’s not a big deal but I enjoy the roundabouts and this broken concrete is an eyesore Also the roundabout west of Sherwood Osks church aft High street and Goat park has a broken curb section and concrete chunk on west side of roundabout Thanks
