This is a request for advice- not notifying of an issue. The home we purchased has a lot of overgrowth: trees, bushes, some poison ivy, and invasive plant species like some of the honeysuckles. We have already started removing some and have a very large pile (when we are finished, it will probably fill a large roll-off dumpster). What does the city typically do when they are clearing brush? Do you chip it or does that just spread the problem items further? Or do you know of any companies that might pick up for a price? Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

When trying to use the Bloomington uReport mobile app (iOS), attempting to report a streetlight outage, the app says to report it to Duke Energy at "www.duke-energy.com/lightre..." and then cuts off. I had to google search instead to find where to submit a report to Duke.
Also, it shouldn't matter whether Duke maintains the streetlights or not. Constituents should be able to report a streetlight being out to the City, and then the City takes care of reporting it to Duke.

This morning, Monday, Nov 10 just before 9am I was walking up to the intersection of First and Clifton in Bloomington when a city sanitation truck stopped in front of me. The sanitation employee opened the lid on a yard waste can and found trash on top of the debris. (not my house or cans). I witnessed him remove the trash with his hands and throw it on the street, then dump the yard waste in the truck. When he started to leave, I confronted him and asked him to pick it up the trash he had thrown on the ground. There was a trash bin and recycling bin within inches of the yard waste bin. Not only did he refuse, but he called me a fucking bitch and moved very aggressively toward me, screaming excuses of why he did not have pick it up, was entitled to discard it because it was in the wrong can, and called me every vile name he could imagine. I PICKED UP THE TRASH HE THREW IN THE STREET. His actions are completely inappropriate and I hope you will address this. He had blondish hair and was the rider, not driver on the truck. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out who it was. Ann Wesley

I submitted a report yesterday, May 5, 2023. As my husband and I thought back through the week...
it was Tuesday morning, May 2, 2023 when this happened. Driving south on Rogers at 8:15am. A work sign crashed into my car. The worker and I examined the side of the car. At home, I saw that the antennae has been slashed; there is also some damage to the top of the car in front of the antennae. My case number is #183678 and was given to Adam Weson to handle. I will get an estimate for repairs this week. Who must I contact to have this resolved?
Thank-you, Kim

HAZARD (I hope you can see the whole picture, not just grass): this is case #172549, the hole in the Hunter foot path, which has been referred to CBU. It has gotten considerably worse and is very dangerous at night. When there is no light, a cyclist might fly over the handle bar or a pedestrian might break an ankle or leg. This needs to be seen to asap.

We will not use garbage collection service for several months, but City will still charge us for the service unprovided, only because your billing system was set up that way. Is this legal to charge residents for the service you are not providing ? Sounds ridiculous and illegal. Hope Mr. Mayor could see to it and step in for a immediate correction. Thank you.

Could the city place a garbage can near the chocolate moose or require them to have one? People buy ice cream and go to the benches a bit north of there. There is no trash can nearby so people just leave their sticky trash on the bench or the ground. The melting ice cream attracts bugs. Thanks.
