Please consider helping to find or fund a facility to ensure the free COVID site remains open and available. Folks are currently 10 days out in testing there, and 10 days of self-isolation honestly is unlikely to happen with many folks who have yet to get a confirmed diagnosis. Thank you for your leadership. I've heard of many individuals in town getting sick but not getting tested, and I'm worried the numbers are higher than reported.

Fire the Police who did not arrest the men holding a man captive in the park. Clearly the man held against the tree had his civil rights violated but we all know this was really about hate and racism. Not a proud moment for Bloomington.

The issues the NPR officers at Lake Monroe I watched a horrifying hideous video of a black man pin to a tree by several white men, shouting racist slurs these men need to be arrested and should have been arrested at that moment when they were assaulting that man I will be writing to authorities over the NPR officers but I needed your department to see that this is a very very bad thing and those officers need to be removed from duty until further investigation, The men and women involved need to be arrested immediately for assault what were your officers thinking he was being assaulted and held against his will you guys have a huge problem this is not going to go away and you cannot sweep it under the rug everything has to change! If this is not your department please forward it to the department that it belongs and I thank you for your time

Why don't all bad sidewalks or poor people at least get to use the city sidewalk fund? I'm not sure how it works but doesn't seem many people get access. And the zones they talk about are years old. Pretty sure there was a recent study that has new zones. Parts of the east side have horribly deteriorated sidewalk infrastructure and is already too reliant on cars; they should be eligible too. Please talk to whoever does poor areas of town to confirm areas of eligibilty. This should be citwide.

The Winslow Marathon gas station: Only half of the customers were masks inside and the cashier wore a mask at her chin, not covering her mouth or nose, the whole time I was there this afternoon. Will include photos. Thanks so much for your time.

When trying to use the Bloomington uReport mobile app (iOS), attempting to report a streetlight outage, the app says to report it to Duke Energy at "www.duke-energy.com/lightre..." and then cuts off. I had to google search instead to find where to submit a report to Duke. Also, it shouldn't matter whether Duke maintains the streetlights or not. Constituents should be able to report a streetlight being out to the City, and then the City takes care of reporting it to Duke.

Sidewalk Requests

1900 S Walnut St, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA

Case Date:

We purchased this property in 2007. In 2002 this property had been subdivided and there was a bond for required sidewalks on the property. On July 25, 2012, we turned over the funds from the bond to the City of Bloomington in the amount of $10,690. Since that time, there have been no sidewalks installed. IF sidewalks are REQUIRED when a property is subdivided, what is a REASONABLE amount of time to wait for installation? In the meantime the City just sits on that money? I would appreciate some answers and insight to these REQUIRED sidewalks. Thank you.

The construction at 1020 East Maxwell Lane is very disruptive. There is a lot of noise from early morning through the afternoon. Trucks beeping, sawing... Since I am working from home, the noise really interferes with my being able to work effectively. There are so many trucks parked along Manor Road that people have difficulty driving down Manor. The large dumpster they have on Maxwell Lane, blocks the view and makes turning onto Maxwell rather dangerous. More trucks parked on Maxwell add to this challenge. This construction has been going on a long time.

Person repeatedly feeding bread-like food to ducks on Moss Creek ponds, despite prohibiting signage and dissuasion by residents. The governing board can think of no recourse but to threaten him with trespassing in the common areas. But he could continue feeding the ducks from the adjacent city street to avoid trespassing. Is there some unit of the City or County government that could help us deal with this. The ducks are beloved here, and the consequences for them of this type of feeding are so dire, many residents are distressed.
