This weekend we WILL be trimming the trees around the sidewalk inside our cul-de-sac. However, we along with all of our neighbors are not happy with the "no mow" grass that is on Sare Road outside of our property. Matt Smethurst is who told us it was "no mow" and would stay lower than 8" in height. It did not stay short and is now hard to see around and looks awful. I tried to email back to Matt off of our original communication and his email bounced back as not active. Could someone please help with this?

Wednesday, August 9 The catch basin on the west side of the street just north of where the Indiana Rail Road crosses Pete Ellis Drive seems to be plugged somewhere underneath the road. Debris doesn’t pile up on the grate the way it used to, and the large puddle I observed after this afternoon’s thunderstorm was draining only slowly. I live at 3500 E Morningside Drive in Bloomington, Indiana. (There are two homes that appear to be at this address. Ours is the light green ranch house with a dark green metal roof.) We have a dark green plastic mailbox by the street. Our mailbox was damaged this morning, 8/9/23, sometime after 6:30am. Our neighbor noticed the damage and notified us this morning at 11:04am. Since today, 8/9/23, is Wednesday, the day that trash and recycling are collected in the Park Ridge neighborhood, we are guessing that the damage was caused accidently by the robotic arm of the sanitation vechicle. We didn't have bins out this morning to empty, but other neighbors did. It was scraped on the top, pushed back and to the side, the plastic on the back was broken, etc. We had a box for the Herald-Times newspaper next to the mailbox which was knocked over during this incident, so my husband removed the post from the ground. Unfortunately I don't have a photo of that. I'm hoping someone would be willing to meet with us to see the damage. If after seeing the damage, they agree this could have been done accidently by the robotic arm of the sanitation vehicle, I'm hoping we could be reimbursed for the damage. Thank you for your time and attention to this concern. Please know that we greatly appreciate the weekly sanitation and recycling services provided by the city staff.

Sidewalks on west side of Sare Rd are becoming very challenging to use. Trees and bushes have encroached the point of having to step of sidewalk. In other areas the width has been reduced to half.

Side walk on east side of Sare just south of Moores Pike is nearly unusable due to tree and bush growth. Can not safely get past.
