Blocked Street

Case Date:
8/24/2023

This new road is too small. Skinny. Aren’t there standards? This road can’t be legal. It has cost my daughter a new tire, caused a semi to be towed, and I’m afraid to use it for fear of getting scraped or stuck myself. It’s the only way to get to my local grocer Bloomingfoods.

Excessive Growth

Case Date:
8/24/2023

Throughout this area are low-hanging tree branches over the streets. A firetruck on an emergency run will need to reduce speed to thread this needle and lose precious seconds in what may be a life or death situation. Alternatively, the truck will just plow through and damage the equipment. What is the timeline to remedy this problem? (Pickup in photo for scale)

Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

4GM2+VM Bloomington, IN, USA

Case Date:
8/24/2023

The prior uReport was finalized by saying the issue was mitigated. I walked by this morning and it hasn't been mitigated. The missing sidewalk is on the west side of Sare Rd about 200 yards south of Moore's. It's across the street from the Verona Coffee shop. Here's the prior uReport from 2020: https://na01.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fbloomington.in.gov%2Fcrm%2Ftickets%2Fview%3Fticket_id%3D173087&data=05%7C01%7C%7C96686622ce2641ad333a08db9e6eaddb%7C84df9e7fe9f640afb435aaaaaaaaaaaa%7C1%7C0%7C638277970417164676%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=KqGpEZxMRKpA1%2B1nF7GBbFKnVLL8kHbHvU%2BBswotpI4%3D&reserved=0 Closed by Driss Tahir Staff investigated this report and issue has been mitigated Thanks for looking into this again. Traffic Signals

N Kinser Pike & IN-46, Bloomington, IN 47404, USA

Case Date:
8/24/2023

Hi! It's been long enough since I worked for the City that I can no longer remember whether this is a signal that the state or the city controls, so please let me know if I need to talk to the state instead. I am a parent of a North High School student, but we're districted in South, so we carpool every day to school and back. I noticed today that the signal at 46 and Kinser Pike doesn't stay green very long for the cars on Kinser. Normally, that makes total sense. However, I'm wondering if, during that pick up time in the afternoon when traffic backs up down Kinser Pike, the timing of the light could change to allow for more cars to get through that intersection. It would be so lovely if that were possible. It's a pretty small window, starting with when the school buses leave North, probably around 2:50 or so, and maybe going for 20 minutes after that? Thank you for your consideration.
