I understand that we are following a stay at home order. Yet when I went for a run today I saw guys working on construction at the City's Switchyard park and many other sites across the city, trees are being trimmed on many roads in the city, and near the Kroger on South Walnut the tire store was open, the verizon store was open, of course the Kroger was open, and the daycare center up the street had a bunch of cars and kids playing in their playground. What's going on? It is disconcerting to say the least. thank you.

I have been ill with non covid-19 pneumonia and sinus infection for several weeks. I could not have gotten through this period of time if not for the amazing team at Walmart and delivery partners. I know it’s not over but I am feeling so grateful this morning. I am high risk given I’ve been so sick, I’m over weight and I have asthma. They very likely have saved my life. First responders are recognized and given honors by cities all the time so I’m suggesting that someone reach out to or Walmart and all of our local grocery stores at some point so we can bestow some sort of award or honor to these men and women. I’m sure your offices are spread thin right now but at some point I’m the near future I hope this idea will be visited. I would be happy to donate my time any way I can be of use. I am excellent on the phone as I managed a local call center for several years. These workers are not paid well. I believe they need and deserve a huge boost in morale. Local businesses might be willing to give back to them in some way via a discount or free meal etc. Ago at least be acknowledged for the great worth of their hard work and diligence is so very important! out walking tonight (7/10) I saw that there was a very large backyard graduation party taking place at 2207 E Covenanter in Bloomington, at a conservative estimate 50-60 people ranging from teenagers to senior citizens and not a single mask that I could see...playing tennis and generally socializing in a way that didn't seem particularly cautious just thought you should know, because if there's an outbreak in town those are folks you're going to want to talk to

I biked downtown this afternoon for a trip to the public library. Upon arrival I discovered that every space in the bike racks surrounding the library were taken by Veo scooters. Attempting to move a scooter to park my bike was extremely difficult, as the scooter wheels immediately locked up, and scooters are simply to heavy to lift and move. Allowing a private scooter company to completely monopolize all available bike parking around the public library is not acceptable. Why is this allowed? Could the rules around scooters in the city be reviewed and this specific issue addressed? To clarify, I don't believe users had parked the scooters here. It seems as if they were deployed and staged in these spots. Thank you.

So Hamilton won't do anything about the log pile mess between Arden and Greenbriar... "it's Duke / it's their contractor". OK, fine. You want to avoid dealing with problems YOU (Hamilton) have created. Do you want to do anything about all the felled street tree stumps and the problems they have created? I'm trying to mow around your stumps, but your garbage efforts have left large ruts, logs, and rocks around the stumps that are killing my mower. Meanwhile, TWO MONTHS later I'm still dealing with your garbage decisions, lazy refuse, and ugly mess left between stages of your extended endless programs of the "activity trail". FINISH IT.
