Sidewalk piece has began to rise up and protruding out of the ground 2 to 3 inches. With there being no bike lane I’m riding my transportation apparatus on the sidewalk. I wanted to bring this to your attention to see if it could get on the west of being fixed. Thank you so much for your time and consideration
There appears to be a broken water main because water has been rising to the surface on my property the past 5 days. My front north sidewalk (photo attached), east sidewalk, and south concrete garage floor have been soaked for the past 5 days. My basement is dry and no pipes are leaking in my house. There is a large Tree of Heaven invasive species growing where the Uplift Pump is located just west of my address, 4325 E. Weymouth Lane in Parkridge East. I have tied yellow duck tapr around t to make it easier to see. Please remove this tree and any of its' off shoots as it is rather large now and will present a sidewalk safety issue. Thank you.
Sewer open and actively LEAKING leaving waste on the street and sidewalk
Thank you for recently covering an open utility hole in this area by the alley. We noticed another one this morning a bit west of that one. It is also between Fess and Park on Cottage Grove. This one is approximately half-way between Fess and the alley between and parallel to Fess and Park, about 8 feet north of the sidewalk on the north side of Cottage Grove. It is smaller than the last one, maybe 6-8 inches, and looks quite old, unused, and slightly crooked. Maybe just fill it with dirt (?)
SE corner of lot just west of alley and close to the sidewalk there is a medium-sized, water-meter pit that is uncovered. Lid is not around, apparently. Dangerous trip hazard at night, and animals could fall in.
Submitted on behalf of Casey Guarino. On August 8, 2024, around 12:30 PM, both sides of S. Rogers St. were obstructed and impassible for wheelchair users around 714 S. Rogers. One sidewalk had no curb cut access due to construction. The other sidewalk, at 715 S. Rogers, was blocked by a temporary sign. Casey requested that a construction worker in the area move the temporary sign so that she could pass. The worker refused, saying "People who can walk can get around." When a passerby picked up the sign, the worker said "You can't do that." The passerby briefly moved the sign regardless, and Casey was able to reach her destination. However, both sidewalks remain obstructed, which is a major accessibility problem.
