Our tap water has a strong smell and taste of mildew. I don't know about water safety, but at this point we can't even use it for cooking, brushing our teeth, or making coffee, let alone drink it.
The tap water at 2600, East 2nd Street today is even worse than yesterday. It smells like plastic and tastes like some medication. We were not able to brush our teeth this morning, it was so disgusting! Never ever happened before, not for the last 20 years! Can't believe it is safe to drink.
Hi, as of lately (mid August maybe) my tap water has a very moldy taste and smell to it. Could you please advise how to go about it and if it needs testing for safety? Thanks!
Water smells and tastes of algae/mold.
Water smells like dirt. Literally like soil. It’s been this way for at least a week, and nothing has made it better. I’ve tried bleach in the drains, thinking it was the pipes.
The smell of our tap water is atrocious. Even with a new filter in our fridge/freezer it doesn't help much. The Brita filter on the countertop pitcher definitely helps though (for whatever it filters out).
water smells/tastes like mold/dirt/fungus/rotting, no amount of filtration using home filter systems or boiling will get the smell out.
About a week after the taste and smell of tap water became like dirt, very organic, I began having loose stool. Last night I bought gallons of water from Kroger because the issue has only gotten worse. For the past few days our water has had a bad taste and distinctive odor. My understanding is that this currently a common issue, but we hope it can be resolved soon.
