We do not have water as of 5:40 PM 1/11/2024. I have not received any emails and am up to date on billing (with 20 days left to pay for last month). Near the alley way at 401 N Dunn water does not drain properly and builds up with gravel and dirt making it difficult for handicap travel. 8th Street has been paved over so many times that drainage is impaired. There is quite a bit of debris there now and this holds a lot of water during a rain event. Finally the alley has been patched a little but it is in pretty bad shape and needs redone. Water smells stale, water is discolored, cloudy and sputters out of kitchen sink faucet.
Note: prior complaint was filed under a different address by the system ("402"). The case number for that was #186916 (https://bloomington.in.gov/crm/tickets/view?ticket_id=186916) The response then that the hole is for rain water is nonsensical. If people kept the lids closed, what little rain we get would not enter the dumpster. Also, no other dumpsters in the neighborhood have such holes and an associated rat problem.
See case #188527. Garbage still piled up against house. Tenants do not seem to care about warnings or small fines. Can the fines be associated with their water bill so that it gets turned off if they do not pay?
Storm drain doesn't handle rainfall when a lot comes down in a short amount of time. Flooded our garage on May 26 2024. Water travels from the north on Lincoln St and carries debris and dirt in large amounts. thank you
Sewage keeps backing up in our bathtub - smells terrible, toilet doesnt flush when this happens and cant be used. Standing water on the floor/carpet. These issues keep happening and the apartment complex says that they fix it and then it happens again. This time maintenance said it is an airconditioning unit. I can explain more if you can call me. One of the houses near us pumps their water on to the street as well as Alice street, creating ice and slush. At least five cars have gotten stuck on the street in the past two days.
