The restroom closest to the accessible parking at the lower Cascades playground has a clogged and overflowed toilet. It appears that the other restroom in the building is locked and unusable. So there are no restrooms on a Sunday at lower Cascades. Yeah I don't think

Large-sized tree has fallen across LC trail, towards the south end. Has been there for a few months now. Is south of the construction/Winter Shelter. Near the concrete parking area, where there are also concrete blocks - this area is on the east side of the road.

Hello,
I serve as the volunteer creek & trail monitor for the LC area. (via Sarah Owens & company) I went by the creek on Friday, 11-12-21, at approximately 3:15p.m., noticing a distinct change in the water. Noting the current construction near the Waterfall shelter, I am uncertain if this is related. This photo was taken near the south end of the creek, about 1/3 mile from IMI concrete company. Trying not to presume - is there a permit in place for discharging into the creek? Can water sampling and testing be performed. NOTE: I returned to the same area on Saturday afternoon, 11-13-21, and the water has cleared. No visual evidence of what had been observed on Friday. Thank you.

Three large tree branches, 8 to 12 " diameter approximated, have fallen across the trail (likely due to prior evening storm event), by the waterfall. There is a fourth limb, similar size and same location, that has been alongside the trail for a time and now juts into the trail.(This branch is against a boulder and has mushrooms on it.)

How did this amount of yard waste get into our lovely lower Cascades park?
This area was noticed Sat afternoon during our 1st Sat of the Month weed wrangle event at Lower Cascades hosted by City Parks and MC-IRIS.
A number of volunteers and City Park staff have been meeting at lower Cascades for over a year with Thurs afternoon weed wrangles then more recently Sat has been added for two events in this park per week.
This was the first time that we have discovered this area and I can’t understand how, when by whom and why this destroyed native habitat area had occurred and who may have first reported this form of vandalism.
What can be determined and more importantly how and when can this debris be hauled away to hasten the recovery of this previously native wooded park area?
I had issues trying to attach a photo or video but, I can share those or offer to help you onsite.

Someone is at the waterfall with a pickax hacking off chunks of the waterfall. I didn’t feel safe confronting him but I took a video that I’m happy to share with you

While conducting volunteer creek & trail monitoring on June 20, came across a downed light pole with wiring, alongside the trail. Believe it as been inactive for some time. Shattered glass present from light fixture. Location: Along trail, heading south from the playground, pass the entrances to the two trails that lead to the waterfall and is before the next metal bridge. If needed, I can aim to return later this week, take a photo and then submit. Thank you!

Old infrastructure down - light pole with bat box + former (?) power line - not active. Is near and along creek, approximately 1/4 mile north of IMI concrete. West side of road. Pole is down in leaf litter. The line runs across/above the creek and to the other side.

Hello! I serve as the trail monitor @ Lower Cascades Pk. There is a sizable tree down and across the Overlook trail. Trunk diameter is est. 18 inches or more, with three sizable branches extending from the main trunk. I can climb through it but a number of individuals would have issues getting by.

Can this tree be removed? It tends to collect brush & small branches, clogging the creek. (I cleared those away.) This is by the Sycamore shelter, closest to Old State Rd 37 and by the north-most parking lot. Thank you.
