Blocking sidewalk all the time.
Blocking sidewalk all the time.
The streetlight at the corner of Jordan and Maxwell Ln frequently turns on and off during nighttime hours; this is a wide street and a busy corner, making this particularly unsafe.
The streetlight at the corner of S Anita St and 1st St frequently turns on and off during nighttime hours, rendering the street very dark.
I looked over ordinances and the site at length and could not find what I was looking for. Is there some ordinance about people's animals taking a S@#$ on your yard all the @#$% time? A few folks are considerate enough to bring tools to pick it up, but we are finding this is not the case all too often. People walk their dogs and simply let them S@#% in our yard. This is nonsense. If it happened 1 , 2 times a year, so be it, but that is not the case. If there is no formal ordinance on such matters, so be it, but I thought I would check before anyone was confronted.
Got this in an email from the local resident. It is about 805 N. Lincoln. They appreciate the police following up on the noise. I've reminded them to contact you directly. Now if we could get the city HAND department and the landlord to do something about the piles of trash outside that house...it stinks all the way to the street. Always something.
A friend sent me the following email: Hey I have a issue and since you walk alot I always think of you. You know where Pete Ellis drive is. Well by the railroad tracks there is a walk cross and they need to add alot more lighten there would you contact who ever u call and tell them. It scares me that a walker is going to get hit. Here are a few pictures of the curb cut issue on Clarizz by the entrance to Bloomingfoods. You can see that there are no ramps on either side of the turn-in to Bloomingfoods from Clarizz. Therefore, anyone wanting to walk to Bloomingfoods using a wheelchair would not have easy access. What you have to do is use the sidewalk across the street (which does have a curb cut) and then cross Clarizz to enter the Bloomingfoods parking area. The problem with this is that the traffic is very heavy on Clarizz, particularly so close to the intersection with 3rd St and this makes crossing, particularly for someone in a wheelchair, perilous. I'm requesting that the City add curb cuts to the sidewalk on Clarizz by Bloomingfoods to fix this problem. A less ideal fix would be to add a crosswalk to the other side of the street, but I really don't see this as a great solution.
Are mopeds and motorcycles allowed to use the 7th street tunnel under the bypass? Today, I saw two (orange scooter and a black-mini-motorcycle thing with a skull and crossbones on front, each coming from different directions) using the tunnel.
