The City does not maintain the trees between the sidewalk and the street on Adams. The trees and brush are overgrown with invasive species and the local residents are spending hours and money trying to maintain the weeds/trees that are impeding their property. The sidewalk is not accessible because the City has not maintained their portion of the land between the sidewalk and the street.
The North/South alley between 810 W. 7th and 804 W. 7th is being encroached upon by gardens, woodpiles, trees/vegetation and possibly the fence and cinder block garage owned by 810 W 7th St. As a result, the alley traffic is being diverted outside of the alley right of way and onto the private property located at 804 W. 7th. This appears to have been going on for a number of years. As the new owner of 804 W. 7th St., it is my full intention to re-claim the property/property line currently being encroached upon and proceed with renovations. I request that the Street Dept contact the owner of 810 W. 7th and order the encroachments be removed. With the assistance of a surveyor, I have located the NW and SW corner pins delineating the right of way and pounded new T posts just outside of the right of way in those spots and plan to post the entire property line once the encroachments are removed. Were I to reclaim the property line today, the alley would become impassible due to said encroachments. I request your assistance in remedying this situation in a civil and legal manner, as requests to the homeowner of 810 W.7th have fallen upon deaf ears. I request that you keep me in the loop regarding this issue. I would be happy to meet with a representative of the street dept, with survey in hand, to assist in clarifying and remedying this issue, as renovations of 804 W. 7th will begin in a few weeks. During hard rains, water backs up in the southeast corner of my yard and comes into my garage and basement from the parking pad on the east and below grade through the wall to the north. The sidewalk running along the Clifton St. right of way is the east boundary of my property (see photo). Water simply can't move fast enough to the culvert you installed south of my property on the west side of the sidewalk. Is there anything you can do to alleviate this problem? I'm happy to discuss the details. Thank you.

Once again, the section of West 11th st between Adams St and Fountain Dr has become a speedway. Drivers CD are absolutely flying down the road. Captain Pedigo, I know you are stretched thin when it comes to number of officers, but could you do your best to set up radar sometime on this section of road? Our neighborhood would truly appreciate it.
People are living year-round in an RV parked on an unimproved surface at 220 S. Maple Street. They have been there for about 18 months. I previously reported them to H.AN.D. and the city's legal department. There are also 3-5 other cars parked in the small property lot at all times. The man is apparently fixing cars for others. Various articles and garbage bags are often strewn about. Their has been many domestic violence and nuisance reports to the police and fire department during this time.
An older Mercedes has been abandoned here for several months (no plates).
Fiber optic installation created some cylindrical holes in the concrete and asphalt about 6" in diameter in various locations. At this intersection, there is one that was apparently refilled with gravel, but another was left open and a stepping hazard. It is on the north part of the intersection, just north of where 11th crosses and closer to the east side of the street than the west. We found a concrete core by the side of the road that likely came out of the hole originally so we placed it back in the hole, but it sunk down a ways because it was unsupported beneath and now it needs to be topped off with gravel or the core should be removed and the entire hole filled with gravel.
Hello. There is a dual drainage grate system in the middle of Blair Ave just before W 12th Court heading North. It looks as if the grates are sinking and are going to fall into the hole under them. There is major damage and erosion of the structural integrity of the cement and asphalt surrounding the grates and across the entire street. There is exposed metal bars that drivers swerve to miss to protect their cars putting humans and parked vehicles at risk. Can you please help? Thank you for all that you do!
We have had water backup every time it rains this spring. This has not been an issue in past years. We have had our main line cleared multiple times and scoped to ensure there are no issues with the line, but continue to get water coming through our flood drain in the basement every time it rains. Please can you sent someone to inspect the main city line on the 8600 block of Clinton Ave S to clear any blockage on your line? We are frustrated with the water backup.
