At the bus stop on W 3rd St and S Westplex Ave there are homeless individuals who camp out at the bus stops; they have mattresses, trash, and needles around them. This situation makes it unsafe for other individuals trying to ride the bus as well as causing a disturbance to the neighboring businesses. I've contact the transportation department and filed a uReport but nothing changed.
Cars parked in little tid bits and cars parked on the opposite side of the street blocks the road. I almost got hit from someone turning left onto N Washington Street because it turns into a one way street when everyone is parked. Please evaluate when cars are parked (during the day 3-5 pm expecially). I am not able to go up to the stop sign because there is a major blind spot someone can turn left into me. There is also a MAJOR pot hole on this road.
Blocked stop sign- I have posted this before, when a food truck parks on Kirkwood in front of the library near Lincoln (north side of the street) the stop sign for west bound traffic is obscured. In the 5 minutes I have been watching, 4 cars have completely run the stop sign. If the sign was in the small planter bed closest to the street or mounted on the same pole as the street sign, this might be avoided. Or at a minimum post no parking sign for tall vehicles. Thanks!
Large trash in ditch South of Winslow Woods and Community Garden: large tires and other trash in ditch next to S Highland Ave.
Fox won't leave our back yard. We have kids and pets and we are worried about rabies and public health issues. Fox is leaving carcasses of random critters around as well. Fox went after our small dog.
There is a hole filled with gravel (which is somewhat washed out) in the crosswalk at this location. Appears to he leftover from fiber project
Dead animal (maybe gopher or groundhog) swarming with flies and probably maggots blocking the sidewalk. Going south on Washington, it’s the left sidewalk. Approximately across from 514 and 515.
This is an Envirosac of cement (concrete construction debris), likely left over from fiber optic installation one year ago. It is at the residence of 2809 E Daniel Street. It was a box of powdered cement, that naturally hardened into concrete, making it VERY heavy. I would like to know who to contact to remove this from the easement? Another neighbor asked the residents to please remove it, however they have not, and they likely do not think it is their place to do so since the fiber optic company fractured their driveway and did not take this box of cement with them when they repaired it. The new builders on the corner of Covenanter Drive and High Street installed a pipe last week. Our concern is that the pipe was not installed low enough to keep the flow of water continuing to High street and beyond. With the rainy season coming...we are concerned that the pipe will make water back up on our property. The city just spent two weeks closing off High street to fix this issue and now we are concerned that the new builders have just put something in (but not properly installed it) so they could have a little rock culvert to get to their property off of Covenanter Drive. I sent an email to Vic Kelson and Brandon Prince on Thursday, but never heard back from them. I am writing again because we would like this matter to be taken care of now before they get more involved with building and it is too late to fix the problem. I would appreciate if somebody would get back with me on this matter. Thank you.
The entire street on Olive between Thornton and Miller has flooded with BLACK WATER yet again damaging 5 properties. The flooding is more severe due to the regrettable actions the city took to dump excess asphalt into the low point in the road. It's 2 am so I will not be photographing until dawn, but let me assure you, severe damage has been done by the city of Bloomingtons willful neglect of this area. We were promised a fix last year, and now during a quarantine we are flooded with BLACK WATER.
