The new builders on the corner of Covenanter Drive and High Street installed a pipe last week. Our concern is that the pipe was not installed low enough to keep the flow of water continuing to High street and beyond. With the rainy season coming...we are concerned that the pipe will make water back up on our property. The city just spent two weeks closing off High street to fix this issue and now we are concerned that the new builders have just put something in (but not properly installed it) so they could have a little rock culvert to get to their property off of Covenanter Drive. I sent an email to Vic Kelson and Brandon Prince on Thursday, but never heard back from them. I am writing again because we would like this matter to be taken care of now before they get more involved with building and it is too late to fix the problem. I would appreciate if somebody would get back with me on this matter. Thank you.

I am a homeowner with storm drainage infrastructure running alongside and underneath my yard. The majority of the Cascade Neighborhood drains though here and the conduit along Skyline is crumbling and heavily damaged. This needs to be repaired in order to accommodate the volume of water now common in our storms. Further, I am concerned that the underground portion is compromised. I see several sinkholes in my yard from subsidence. There are actually two conduits running though - one from alongside my yard, and another that runs from across the street in my neighbors yard. Additionally, there was a portion of erosion along my back fenceline that had eroded around a city sewer access point. Since the city came to fill this, I have had flooding in my garage - correlated to this directly. I have owned my home for over 10 years and am noticing the impacts of hydrostatic pressure in my basement - am issue I’ve never had before. I am concerned that the many city lines that run though my yard are compromised- leading to this problem. I would greatly appreciate meeting with a utilities manager to discuss these issues and have a scope of these lines performed.

As a home owner on old 37 N whose property’s easement is being used for the new line, I have some questions. The work has torn up an existing asphalt sidewalk that runs from marlin to the first house on Old 37 N along with a retaining wall in front of my house, my property sits down form the road. Hello, I am a property owner in the shadow creek subdivision and wish to file an anonymous complaint against the owner of the property at 1527 s andrew circle. I could not figure out how to manipulate your location map above so please ignore that address. I am building a house on the adjoining lot and am concerned about the serious flooding every time it rains. It has gotten worse since additional dirt has been added to the lot , and since i last reported the problem to the city last summer. Please see the picture attached and make a drive by for yourself to verify. It may overflow its banks tonight with the heavy rain that is predicted. It could flood my basement and the downhill neighbor potentially. But more important to the neighborhood and the city are the potentials for mosquitoes and even children or animals getting hurt in there. It should be an easy fix for the builder to rework the dirt he put in there to fill in the low spots and raise the grade for natural gravity drainage until he actually builds a house there. Thank you for your prompt attention to the issue . It seems to have been ignored after my previous complaint which was before the previous owner(developer ?) sold it. Thanks, Derk brewer

The sidewalks on the west side of rogers just south of Bloomington Iron & Metal (about 9th street) flood when it rains. A stream flows out of BIM at the south side of their driveway, across the driveway cut for the gym, and then across both driveway cuts for the big one world parking lot. When it is raining hard, there is no way to traverse the gym driveway without standing in 3+ inches of water. Did you know BIM is a superfund site?

Good Morning, I called on Saturday night and spoke to someone, did not get their name, via the emergency number. He recommended I contact CBU on monday but I did not get to it until this morning. Situation is this: 6:15pm - My son and friend are playing near the creek/drainage ditch between Elliston Drive and E Dunstan. All of a sudden a big wash of water comes running down the ditch and proceeded to run for about 2 hours. Could be 3-6" deep roughly, best estimate. I called in and gentleman I spoke with asked that I take a video, which I did and can provide. I traced it back to a culvert outlet which was coming from Allendale. Looked in the inlets on Allendale and could see water was coming from the north and S. Dunstan. I walked up and could see evidence of water dripping from a truck (similar to the drips off the garbage truck). The drip path got bigger and wider until I saw water spill surrounding the top of a manhole in the middle of S. Dunstan at the dead end. I did also notice that there is a storm pond that was half full of water in the Acadia Court apartments. I do not recall enough recent rain to have filled that pond but it looked almost recently drained but hard to say. That's the story. I wanted to report because it seemed an odd time and weather for this to be happening. The water seemed odorless and in hindsight I wish I had got a sample. There may still be some pools with water if you want to investigate. The attached map shows the rough path and the smaller circle to the north is the manhole and the larger the detention pond behind the apartments. The smaller circle to the south is the culvert pipe outlet.

Water runoff is still an issue. I have reported this before and it is causing damage to my yard and basement. This area really needs a sidewalk or curb with storm drains.

Part of the Sheridan Creek drainage ditch has eroded or crumbled with asphalt breaking off and going who knows where. The problem areas that seem to need at least spot repaving are at the front of part of 1340 E Sheridan and the Sheridan part of 1000 S Jordan Ave
