Kid City commendation. Her daughter and a friend attended 2 sessions of KC Outdoor this summer. It was a wonderful experience. Activities were creative and fun. Ms. Anderson wrote to say how beautiful the garden plantings around town are, especially the areas around the Showers Bldg. She feels the flowers are well chosen and artfully planted and they contribute a great deal to the beauty of the city. Also, complimented the staff on the wildflower planting north of Miller Showers. Comment/suggestion re: People's Park. Saw article in the HT about improvements. Would like to add a suggestion that the wall be removed. It attracts people to sit on it and attracts walkers-by to converse w/those sitting on it and blocks pedestrian traffic on sidewalk. In addition, it is dingy and unattractive. She applauds the Dept for its initiative to improve the park.
