Neighbor has three large boxer dogs that are allowed to run loose for "exercise" daily, and usually for a period after dark. Complaintant is 78 and wife is 74, both are handicapped. Dogs are making a mess of their yard, and they can't go out after dark. They've lived there forty years, and feel they deserve better.
Stray, blondish brown dog w/bobbed tail attacked Hall's dog yesterday. Hall wants stray dog removed from the streets. Has spoken to animal control about this but dog is still on the loose.

Many dog owners do not keep their dogs on leashes when they bring them to 9th Street Park & dogs are a problem for her and her cats in her yard. Diana would like more patrol and larger signs to advise/educate park visitors about leash law. xc: Dave Williams
Residents do not clean up after their big dog. The neighbors are complaining about the stench. They also sometimes let the dog go into other peoples yard and do not clean up after it.
McDonald called BPD at 3:30 a.m. re barking dog & was told BPD does not respond to this type noise complaint and that he should confront owner of dog. McDonald felt that confronting owner at 3:30 a.m. would possibly create a dangerous situation and in addition, BPD should change policy to respond to this type noise situation same as if it was a loud stereo. Ms. Moore has contacted Animal Control many times re dog (which attacks people) running loose in her neighborhood. When she calls, dog is restrained for a couple months then is turned loose again. Ms. Moore plans to send letter to Mayor requesting that dog is restrained permanently.
Mr. Craig has called Animal Control and the Plan Department. His neighbor Guy Pacale Hardy has at least 4 dogs and 2 cats. The dogs fight each other and bark when people are sleeping. They get out and chase his cats. Mr. Hardy dumps the dog waste in a dry creek bed (and it stinks). He may want to start a kennel. Complainant wants something done about these problems and is willing to sign a complaint.
