Many dog owners do not keep their dogs on leashes when they bring them to 9th Street Park & dogs are a problem for her and her cats in her yard. Diana would like more patrol and larger signs to advise/educate park visitors about leash law.

Residents do not clean up after their big dog. The neighbors are complaining about the stench. They also sometimes let the dog go into other peoples yard and do not clean up after it.

McDonald called BPD at 3:30 a.m. re barking dog & was told BPD does not respond to this type noise complaint and that he should confront owner of dog. McDonald felt that confronting owner at 3:30 a.m. would possibly create a dangerous situation and in addition, BPD should change policy to respond to this type noise situation same as if it was a loud stereo. (FYI - A.C. officers will contact McDonald re filing affadavit about noise nuisance.)
