If you can “like” post, 187191 would have thousands of likes!!!!! Along with all the post about the city being passive towards the homeless camps, trash, shopping carts, bike parts, etc… and other issues involving the transient population in town!

Drilling on South Walnut Street has been on-going since 6:30 AM on 06/25/2018. The drilling had stopped around 6:00 - 7:00 PM prior to this date. Now we find out from the Bloomington Police Department that the contractors have obtained a "Variance" to continue drilling non-stop through the night. This is Unacceptable! What good does it do to have noise ordinances if they are not enforced? This IS also a residential area! What happened to working 10 hour days 6 days a week? This is not just a noise issue. The drilling also shakes the foundations of the houses! Do the residents of South Walnut Street not have the right to a period of time to sleep?!!!! This is Wrong!

I just watched someone get a ticket warning for being parked on the grass in front of the house they live in. There is absolutely nothing that necessitates a law to prevent people from parking on sand, grass, dirt, or any other “unapproved surface”. If the property isn’t city owned and funded why would a person need to move their vehicle? Damage to their lawn is their business and they can reseed if they want to? Does the city also require perfectly grown grass on every lawn? The car is off the street. It is not preventing traffic or any permitted parking from occurring. The only reason you would pass such a law is to require the owner of said property to pay the money to pave so that the neighborhood “looks” a certain way or pay you to park on the street that they don’t need to use. There is no point in buying property if you can’t park your car wherever you’d like on it. I’m not the person who got the warning but it’s ridiculous for the local government to try to bully people into buying street parking permits from you. This city ordinance requiring a particular parking surface is completely unreasonable and it erases the meaning of property. I know absolutely no one will read this or care and that you will all just keep unreasonably ticketing people but just in case a single person actually cares I’ll send this message.

I'm trying to combine five separate complaints into one, as they are similar in nature (improperly parked scooters on sidewalks) and they're likely to forwarded to the legal department anyway. So I figured I would batch them up. I think each of the five photos show a scooter that should cause the city to cite and fine the company under city code. If they're not cited and fined, I would like an explanation within a reasonable time why they're not being cited and fined. Here's the five photos by file name, with time, date, and specific location: 20211123_072235.jpg On 2021-11-23 at 07:22:35 39° 10' 15.63" N 86° 32' 0.462" W 20211123_072614.jpg On 2021-11-23 at 07:26:14 39° 10' 17.916" N 86° 32' 0.12" W 20211123_072815.jpg On 2021-11-23 at 07:28:15 39° 10' 25.134" N 86° 32' 0.624" W 20211123_083413.jpg On 2021-11-23 at 08:34:13 39° 10' 35.352" N 86° 32' 5.478" W 20211123_084830.jpg On 2021-11-23 at 08:48:30 39° 10' 6.372" N 86° 32' 5.58" W If the interface doesn't allow me to add four more photos after I hit [Submit] I'll try something different. Thanks.
