People are living in the park again. There is a tent like structure blocking the stairs.
1037 Emery Court is a Jeff Jones property that is on the legal action list. There were people looking at the property that reported that Jeff Jones is going to sell them the property on contract. This is the second property that residents in the neighborhood have heard this happening in the last couple of weeks. This neighborhood has had to put up with Jeff Jones for 20+ years. We were hopeful that the legal case was going to fix this slum lord situation. Jeff Jones has sold this house on contract or rent to own more times then I can count in the 20 years I have lived in this neighborhood. He has sold every house in the Walnut Creek subdivision neighborhood that he owns on contract repeatedly. It is a total scam. None of these houses ever are actually sold. We thought the legal litigation was going to stop Jeff Jones from continuing his slumlord ways. What is going on to address this?
Homeless in a tent with camp setup
Hello: I am sick of seeing these vagrants walking by my house at the corner of College Street and West Hillside Drive. I spoke to an officer last Tuesday and requested more police car drive by’s, evidently it is not working. I appreciate it, if more police cars can be visible in this neighborhood, behind the Switchyard Park, which drives them in. Please put a barrier on College Street and the South Side of the park by the Walnut Street side of the SWITCHYARD Park Parking Lot where the vagrants enter and exit with back packs and bicycles going through the Railroad Park neighborhood where your police department and YOU ignore for safety. I’ve reported this issue to Governor Braun, Erin Houchin US Representative of the House of Representatives and US Senator Todd Young. Please feel free to visit me at 117 W.Hillside Drive in your fair city for a front yard porch chat to watch all the “traffic “ go by my house. Thank you, Maryann Iaria 117 W. Someone needs to get the Rogers Street construction closures under control, preferably before school and work lets out today. It is chaos. Contractor is clearly not concerned about safety. There are going to be accidents. Talked to someone in Engineering this morning, but the situation has not improved at all. Please look into this ASAP. Thank you for your help.
Trash pile left behind
Possible homeless person in and around Sherwood Oaks neighborhood. Second day in a row this cart has been parked here. Neighbor saw a man pushing it away yesterday. But it was back this morning. This is unacceptable when there are the Crawford Apts down the street... Please investigate this. Thank you.
Us residents in Broadview are having more and more issues with this homeless camp behind the IMI concrete plant. There is trash everywhere, shopping carts left in the street, people yelling at all hours, people burning trash every day, people trespassing, and now fights are breaking out. The groups that have been there lately are more aggressive and it’s starting to get out of control. Why the city is condoning this as the spot to throw the homeless is beyond ridiculous and why is there no police presence? My neighbors called the cops last night about the fight that broke out and I don’t remember seeing anyone show up. Why is this camo being allowed? Why is it not being monitored with a higher police presence? Why are we the ones that have to deal with this mess? And why is this being allowed so close to a neighborhood that is now making everything unsafe in this area? Please, do better than this. It has gotten way out of control.
