Greetings, lovely individuals of the city! I am here to offer my humble opinion on your delightful branding adventure which has recently made quite the stir in our community. First and foremost, your efforts to elevate our beautiful city are much appreciated. While reminiscing on the past, relishing in the days of old, and remembering what Bloomington was, we do have to think ahead. My understanding of the new branding and its message about our city’s identity could not hit the nail on the head more squarely. Our community is what it is because people came here recognizing something was different and that something was “a vibe” as the kids not say, that they also felt. But we must recognize that, in order to remain a thriving and vibrant community, “the vibe” must evolve with the times. If I recall correctly, our new traffic engineer and his young family moved from a large metropolitan city with everything to offer, to the 23 square miles in the middle of south central Indiana that we call home. I do not think I presume too much to say, he didn’t choose Bloomington for the logo, he chose it because he saw a place where him and his family could belong. That’s what Bloomington is. That is what I truly believe this new branding effort captures with absolute and robust precision. So I thank you. Let us not forget the words of Weston from the ever-eloquent artist 50 Cent as we face the challenges ahead: "Hate it or love it, the underdog's on top / And I'm gon' shine homie until my heart stop." PS I love, adore, and believe whole heartedly in our new “B” and the potential it will most undoubtedly unlock.

There are homeless people living in sheds behind this house. They have numerous dogs and one of them attacked a man in the backyard a couple of days ago. These dogs are always off-leash and also come into other neighbors' yards agressively. We need the city to deal with this situation

1037 Emery Court is a Jeff Jones property that is on the legal action list. There were people looking at the property that reported that Jeff Jones is going to sell them the property on contract. This is the second property that residents in the neighborhood have heard this happening in the last couple of weeks. This neighborhood has had to put up with Jeff Jones for 20+ years. We were hopeful that the legal case was going to fix this slum lord situation. Jeff Jones has sold this house on contract or rent to own more times then I can count in the 20 years I have lived in this neighborhood. He has sold every house in the Walnut Creek subdivision neighborhood that he owns on contract repeatedly. It is a total scam. None of these houses ever are actually sold. We thought the legal litigation was going to stop Jeff Jones from continuing his slumlord ways. What is going on to address this?

We work for IU Real Estate and we received a report from a staff member at our Commercial Building, Starbucks stating, "I wasn’t sure who to reach out to but I wanted to make someone aware just in case. While running trash outside to our trash bins in the alley, I came out right as what appeared to be an unhoused man threw his items on the ground and loudly said “Well I need to take a sh**.” He started removing his pants and went into the cut out just passed our alley side doors where there are two large dumpsters (I believe for the residents upstairs). I do apologize for anyone that has to handle this, but I wanted to make you aware in case there was a mess with any kind of human excrement there." This pike of left over homeless camp trash likes Lin is is mainly on the city row. This has been reported several times by several people in the last 12 days. Please check out these cares. 212746 212653 212635 212513 The only answers we are getting is Most tickets of this type should be closed within 9 days, although some cases may be longer. 0 days have already passed. And the biggest part is that is is in the city row. I hope for the sake of the city someone will clean it up.
